You are lucky you arent here. Baltimore Gas & Electric raised their rates 70% a couple of months ago. Even with budget billing we are paying $388.00 per month.

What was the humidity?

Hey, Ips:

85 isn't hot ....surely you aren't a whiner, right?

Big Grin

79 clicks (about 45 mi.) south of you the shaded open air temp was 95 (20% humidity), and 100 degrees under my very open air, very ventilated roofed deck.

Once upon a time, in this same AO, I read 11 degrees below zero---coming home at 5:00am from a very tiring last day of outdoor Christmas work (I never work X-Mas Eve!) ....so the thermometor read.

Worn out to the bone, I read 3 times, just to make sure that I wasn't screwed up---between the centigrade side and the F side.

No matter: typically my temps vary higher and lower by about 5-15 degrees from you liberal AOed wooses up north, where I was born and raised.

85 isn't hot. I know by personal experience a little about Guam (and many other spots NW of there), NC, Memphis and the Sea-Tac - Renton area---to name a few.

break, break

Count yourself smart to live in a warmer or less cold area.

I repeat: 85 isn't bad. Humidity depending, I switch from coffee to iced tee at about 93.

At about 95, I direct a fan my way.

break, break

On the subject of blowing you out, Ips, it'd take about 100ea 15-$20.00 typical house fans.

So far so good ....yer mostly okay in my book (no need to buy a bunch of fans!) ...but.......!

Big Grin

Sf,
--Erl

113 deg. yesterday here in Henderson, NV. That is the airport temp. Sidewalk temp is hot enough to fry an egg. Elec. power bill for us will hit around $500 and we keep our thermostat at 78 and ceiling fans on. I feel for the folks that work outside. Semper Fidelis. Blackcoat.
