Any one have a prefered brand of USMC approved boots?

I have two pairs of Bates and am looking at buying a new of Danners. I need new boots and am just wondering if anyone recomends anything.

A few years back there was a post(s) about the best boots, boots that were not good or had problems. I'd go to Infantry Marine discussion to ask about best boots for more up to date help.

Swipe the image off Google and use MS Paint (FYI: my favorite thing about computers) to draw a little EGA on the outer heel. Presto!

Just bought a pair of Danners for $188.

And get this.. I got my wife the same pair for $45. (She is also a Marine.) There were overstocked. A $200 pair of boots for $45. It is my lucky day.

Thank you all for the help, :-P

Voodoo tried to find the ones you suggested but no such luck.
