I am just wondering if the Marine Corp accepts online regionally accredited colleges for Marine Platoon Leader's Course to become an officer. I already checked the accreditation of this school and it is fully accepted by the military and any of its branches. It says in the qualifications that you have to be going full time to college i would be doing 15 credits each semester so that is full time.
But anyways it is strictly online but it is a part of American Public University System, which according to a website that I got from an army recruiter (http://www.acenet.edu/resources/memberdirectory)which is all of the military accepted and regionally accredited colleges and universities. Basically I just want to know if in order to take part in platoon leaders course you have to be going to an actual college. I would be taking a tone of courses per year about 36 credits, so I am just wondering if the Marine Corps would still accept it. This school is actually widely used in the military intelligence community according to my father, who is a submariner and is now a masters chief in the Navy. So what do you guy's think?
This is something you'll have to speak directly to an Officer Selection Office in your local area about as this is a formal policy question only they can answer.
In the future, please ask any questions of this nature in the Wannabe Forum where we deal with preenlistment/precommissioning as this open forum is for Marines, other Services and Family Members to hang out and speak among ourselves as you can see by the thread titles. Thanks in advance.
