The guy is a civilian who operates the recovery crew with the M88. Standard on an Army base...

I love Corsairs! Classicly beautiful and effective planes.

A note on pics 2 & 5: those tanks started out camo that day.

Lotta Mud huh ....could have fooled me ....thought they were an overall desert tan ....must have special tank washers huh .

Those are some serious reactive armor add-ons on the minefeild clearing tank ....badazz outfit there .

Visited the Marine Corps Heritage Museum in Quantico last October with my mom and grandfather(CWO-2 USN Ret.) who was a 4 stack APD sailor during WW2.(U.S.S. McKean) He was @ Guadalcanal with the Marine Raiders. (went ashore with them for the Tasimboko raid) Leyte Gulf (U.S.S. Suissons with Taffy 2) What a great day......I MAY be biased, but IMHO the Greatest Museum ever is the Marine Corps Heritage Museum........GREAT SHOTS!!!!!!!
