Since you guys sent me an email to my personal email address invading my privacy in order to gloat and after kicking me off the site for doing exactly what you are doing right now, I figured I’d respond to show you for the low character Jar Heads you are.


Now before everyone sees this post and sees you for what you are you better call somebody to delete my account. It’s sad that you two are trying to influence young people that may be going off to combat. You two where probablly Pouges at that and not even Infantry.

By the way Hoffy, the Recruiter told me that when I/ if I graduate basic, I will be equivalent to a Ranger. Is that true?

It's not an invasion of privacy if you provide this site your personal email address and you allow messages to be sent to your personal email. That's something you allow, so don't play that "privacy" violation crap; if that's how it is, it's called read before you sign, duh.

When you go to recruit training, you do exactly that, which is what everyone does there; recruit training. Nothing special to MOS, just what's needed and base to be the best fighting force in the world. Now, I don't know about the Rangers all that much (one of the girls in my platoon's dad was a Ranger, so what they told is what I know) but I do know that any other training is done in MCT/SOI AND your MOS school. As for rank, usually nothing higher than E-2, maybe E-3 (that's few and faaaar between;very rare) out of boot.
Put this way, if you graduate from boot equivalent to Ranger, so does just about the entire island.
Of course, that's if you graduate.

And by the way, when you graduate marine boot, you are a marine. You can go on to be a welder, helicopter mechanic, infantry, etc… You have a long way to in the Army in order to be a Ranger. And the only Jar Heads you see at Ranger school are finishing jump school and in many cases and are slated for or are already in Recon units. Just graduating marine boot is not even close. Do a little research.
