on the talk show today..the host said.....Democrats only want to increase your taxes...while the Conservatives want to lower your taxes....will now. since i'm still paying taxes...that means some one is lying and some one is doing what they said...now remember this..(GW1 Read my lips..NO MORE TAXES)....now a Repub/Cons has been in office for 8 years..or going on 8...and what has transpired....Still paying taxes, spending Billions a month on a War that we had NO business getting into...and (GW2 standing under a banner that said....All major combat operations are over.) can some one other than a Repub/Demo take office PLEASE....

As nice as it would be if people and politicans were not tied up with just a 2 party system, I have no real hope for that to change. I think it would be even better if those that were elected fallowed what there constituants were telling them they thought should be going on and not just being dancing puppets for there party. But that would take more people actualy taking the couple min out of there day to talk to the elected official/constituants. I don't think being elected should meen that is a resalution to do just what you think is right. It is your job to create/enforce policy based on what the majority of the people you represent are saying. But maybe my understanding of what the definition of a democracy is and how it actualy is played out is misguided.

There a number of reason why we are on this course that someday will bring on a situation that many of us will not like. Then we will scratch our head and wonder, "what did we do to deserve this?"

We are stuck on the two party system because we support our party regardless of what our politicians say and not do. We do not have a mind of our own, we follow and swear that the other party is the one to blame for our high taxes, fighting a war that who knows why we are, and a national debt that runs in the trillions. We borrow from communist China by the millions and millions.

Some of us believe in conservatism when it involves our own citizens. No social programs, don't help the poor, no retraining due to job loss. But......when it comes time to give money, aid, food, rebuild their homes and on and on, the same folks that say no to it's own citizens will give to those nations that, on most occasion literally, spit on the United States Of America.

We have plenty of oil but our leaders rather depend on other nations to supply us and be at their mercy.

Simply stated, we need to take care of our own country before we meddle into other countries clan problems. We need to stop giving money to other countries on the pretense of helping the starving people, but winds up with the dictators of that country.

The leaders, and I use the term very loosely, could care less about the military of this nation. They would rather give money to North Korea on the pretense of helping it's starving citizens, but in reality the money feeds its million member army, and our military veterans are on the verge of starvaiton.Semper Fidelis. While I agree with the first part, your PS has a few logical holes in it. Like, using your logic; Clinton's policies after the first WTC attack prevented terrorist attacks until the end of his administration.

It was Democrats who raised taxes. Bush had no real choice but to compromise. So to the point of your post, it's still true that Democrats "want" to raise your taxes and conservatives "want" to lower your taxes.

It is "clear" by historical record that Bush did not "WANT" to raise taxes. That is something you NEVER hear from liberals.

The wait between attacks on the twin towers was about 8 or so years....it has nothing to do with the administration, although they have mitigated the threat, it is not over......these people are very patient...in other words...BOHICA.

That rebate check is BS! I did not like it and would gladly give it back. They are just going to slim down our rebates next year to make up for it. It is a way to appease the masses and keep them following that piper!
