I was discharged from Marine Corps during SOI after an injury to my back. I was discharged with as re-4 and seperation code jfv1(physical injury not a disability)under Honorable conditions for something that very fortunately was later determined to be misdiagnosed. I have multiple medical documents including my annual local government physical (I am a 5 year full time city FireFighter) proving that I was diagnosed wrong. I want to rejoin the marine reserves. I know that re-4 is given for a reason but I also hope that a misdiagnosed injury that just was never given time to heal could be grounds for a re-enlistment code change. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated! Semper Fi

If you have the proof and/or evidence, the BCNR is where you should go. Good luck!

Have you visited a recruiter's office? Most of them will bend over backwards to try to help you get back in.
