On the Marine Corps side I can check acitve, reserve, retired, and IRR. Send anything or service you're looking for and I'll see what I can find. I have a bunch of resourses at my disposal.

From information I can access now, the Marine was neither KIA, or MIA (and I will re-check once again to confirm at home)- and hence would have survived the war, more later ..
