Howdy ya,
I spoke to my son this afternoon, first time since Father's Day, we had about 15 minutes to talk.
He told me his CAR had been approved and he was really proud of himself.
He doesn't brag except when kidding around and he was not bragging when he spoke to me today.
Just struck me hard, I can not imagine what he has done and seen, as I could hear in his voice, he was proud.
He said Operation Alljah in Fallujah is going well, even said the city was "dull" right now.
He has posted on this site before and he told me receiving letters of support and care packages really helps the morale, for all the Marines.

If anyone is interested in writing him his address is:

LCpl. B.P. Thames

2/6 ECHO Company (2nd Plt/3rd Squad)

Unit 73180

FPO AE 09509-3180

I appreciate ya allowing me to post this, hope I didn't break any rules.

Proud Poppy

Howdy all,
Thought some of you would appreciate these photos.

He is the Marine on the right, his brother is on the left. Applause Gun Angel/Devil
A recent fine find that he found that he is very proud of!

A little soccer

He captioned this photo, he "tought" these children, I couldn't help but laugh.

In addition to these photos, I put up some new pictures of my son's present tour in Iraq on my profile.
Best regards Marines
Robert

BigE,
Thanks Marine, he is doing us all proud Applause,
I kinda think that the troops like these type of photos (the one with the
Iraqi children giving the bird), I believe it is done in good faith, just funnin', know what I mean, don't mean nuttin'), humour is where you find it!

Robert T.

You know how I feel about it. I'm glad he is still holding up well and has kept his sense of humor. Naturally, like the others, I am very proud of him.

Best wishes to you and give him a Semper Fi from me. Any goodies he needs? Let me know via home e-mail.

Hope this finds you well also.
