Oh wait! It's on at my house. Big Grin

I completely forgot about "suggesting" Band of Brothers, as a gift. My wife just handed me the "Band of Brothers" DVD set. Very cool. Wink

Looks like Band of Brothers will be playing all all day on Saturday. Wink

truly a great series. if they ever run a marathon of it on TV, i always get sucked in for at least an hour.

well done all around. who'd have figured that Marky Mark's brother (Donnie Wahlberg) and the guy from "Office Space" (Ron Livingston)would be so good in this series.

favorite moment from the series?

mine is in the last episode when now Major Winters sees Captain Sobol and reminds him "We salute the rank, not the man."

over 12+ hours of greatness.....I've done a marathon...usually on Veterans day.

I like it when 1st Lt Lipton from BFE accepts the German General surrender...its the same Nazi from Indiana Jones-Radiers of the Lost Ark.

I do a marathon at least once a year.

Of course I would be partial to this episode, but I like Ep 8 when the boot LT (Lt Hank Jones) joins a battle hardened unit in the middle of a battle. I image it wasn't an easy thing. In the movie you can see where he keeps his professionalism and knows that he no combat experience, and all his men do., And he is a little "humbled" by the NCO's when they step on his toes a bit, but they take care of him in the end.

He could have been a "Lt Dike" who was was yelling all the time as if he had "seen too many war movies" Smile

FYI the Lt was played by Tom Hank's son, Colin.

Just found out, that Lt Hanks was actually killed in Europe shortly after he left Easy Co.

2nd Lt. Henry Jones: 2nd Lt. Henry Jones, sir.
Cpt. Nixon: Right, our West Pointer. When'd you graduate?
2nd Lt. Henry Jones: June 6th, sir.
Cpt. Nixon: Of last year?
2nd Lt. Henry Jones: Yes, D-Day, sir.
Cpt. Nixon: [laughs] Don't get hurt.

Clique of Comrades was too melodramatic for me. Make a Pacific war version already.
