Translation: Liberals can't stand success and want to try and attack any sign of success

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Congress is expected this week to pick apart U.S. military data suggesting attacks and civilian casualties in Baghdad have sharply decreased in recent months.

Gen. David Petraeus, left, speaks with President Bush in Iraq's Anbar province last week.

Gen. David Petraeus, the top U.S. military commander in Iraq, is scheduled to testify before Congress beginning Monday, and he is expected to tell lawmakers the troop buildup is producing results.

Petraeus will back the assertion with data indicating a lower incidence of roadside bombs and car bombs in the capital in the months leading up to the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which begins this week.

I do not know this for a fact, but I am willing to bet there will be republicans who wont agree with the report either...months ago when the tide was turning to bring the troops home the president said that he wanted to wait to get this report...well, he was granted the opportunity to get another perspective, but all this reporting before the general has the opportunity to provide a full report is BS in my opinion... On the other hand, I am certain that the president had a hunch it would not be the best news, seeings how he gets daily reports on how things are going in the AO...I think that he just wanted to get another perspective on things....if the news is not the greatest, then it should come as no surprise to him....Congress and the Senate is made up of Dems, Repubs and a couple of Independents ...lets see what they say after the report comesout but I am willing to bet that there will be a smattering of all parties asking to bring the troops home.
