Don't make me use my wooden spoon
Posted
Recently I took a trip to Palms Springs and 29 Palms. One of the highlights of the trip was seeing "The Harsh Desert" photo-art exhibit in Palms Springs. Jayel Aheram, a Marine at 29 Palms, recently returned from Iraq, is the artist.

A portion of the proceeds goes to the Palm Springs USO, which provides transportation to 29 Palms for Marines - a very worthy cause.

Thought you might like to see some of the photo-art. I purchased a number of items to auction off at a fund raiser for military widows recently. My favorite is "Flak, White and Blue".

Finally, a post worth reading.

It's been a while Nance. How've you been? Still the cutest chick in Burns,Oregon?

Smile

I looked and my favorite was titled "Mixed Messages." Now I have to figure out how to buy the thing...

(sigh)

Time for my "every now and then" look-see at the MODF madness.

Looks like, as usual, 158 reads and a couple responses.

Good to see that "signs" hasn't peyotied/peyote'd/peyoteed...Ugh, difficult to verbisize a noun, nevermind a nun...(rim-shot/cymbal)

Not to hijack your thread, Nance but, (although heaven knows I wouldn't mind hyjacking your thread AND you...) Wink

Maybe it will get a bit more attention and some of the geniuses that used to hang around here might drop the pipe and chime in...

Anybody know what to put on a Llama bite? Other than stitches, 'course...

Unk

If it's infected, pee on it.

For bad D'Burns and itches: aloe vera-ize it. If it's inflamed, swollen or red... maybe DMSO-erize around it.

Oh, and on the subject of "verbisizing"(**!) (or is it verba-izing?) a noun: I only have one hand, and on that hand only one finger to type with ....see,

....rather than typing "he went skiing to meat meet some girls", I save time by figuring a combined form as in "he went sheing"....

Sf,

(**!) Hey gimmee a break, I'm struggling.

Note: RIP, Mr. Hart, Korean War Vet....
