When I got out, I had been with my unit for over 3 years. Because it was an Engineer Bn and we had a wood shop, they made me an extremely nice Engineer Castle. Like the one that sits in front of 8th ESB Bn HQ in French Creek, but smaller. Still needed two hands to hold the thing...Very Nice departure gift!
Bad News, this was a prized posession of mine. We moved this weekend. In the moving truck, something shifted and fell! Point is it is in pieces and can not be repaired. Is anyone in 8th ESB? I would pay money to have this replaced/rebuilt. I have the plaque off of it, but need the "Castle" rebuilt.
