I found out today that the mosque I drive past on my way to/from work on my present project, is none other than Hasan's old rug shop.

I know this is only anecdotal and incidental, BUT...

Every evening there is a good amount of vehicles there. Fridays are a pain in the azz, as there are vehicles overflowing on both sides of the road.
This ties up traffic, adding time to my otherwise easy commute.

Today, the news crews were there, and the place was virtually EMPTY!

I got to thinking, (special occasions only, don't get used to it!) If this was MY CHURCH, I would not be happy about the media onslaught. Although I don't think I would change my worship habits. Plus, it would give me a chance to answer questions in defense of my church.

My guess, is maybe someone there dosn't want the members talking to the media. Might let the cat out of the bag!

What do YOU think?

yes, No, Maybe?

Obama gave another speach I hear...telling Americans not to jump to any conclusions too quikly.

Only problem is the facts...that the majority know: that it was a twisted in the head muslim extremist terrorist...there is nothing different from this guy...than the ones that flew civilian aircraft into the Twin Towers and Pentagon.

What really needs to be banned.

I guess what I'm looking for is,

Would it be NORMAL to stay away from your house of worship under these circumstances?

Or...

Do I have a radical extremist mosque 30 miles from me?

Do muslims frequent there every day? Then YES!
Are muslims nowhere to be found, today? Then YES!
Is it a mosque? Then YES!
See, you knew the answer, all the time. Big Grin

It is not a peaceful religion by nature, as they claim it to be.

If you ever have the opportunity to converse with a former muslim, they would point that out. The foundation of this religion is to conquer the earth in the name of allah.

This is why the muslim community was so fired up about Salman Rushdie's "Satanic Verses". Not because it slandered the religion, but because the book exposes it. He merely pulled his research directly from the koran.

Depends how extreme you want to go. There are some religious scholars that believe that Islam is the religion of Satan here on earth and that the followers are his army preparing to do battle for Jesus's return.

Fact is the religion is violent by nature and they see it as justified. The two highest officials for CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) are now indicted on charges of funding/aiding hamas and hezbollah. These are supposed to be the leaders of the so called moderates here in the U.S.

I do not think there is such a thing as a moderate by their definition, they never seem to take action to prevent what they claim is skewing the perception of their religion.
