none forSocial Security, Military Retirees but......medicare deductions are going to increase. There is a reason for all of this rhetoric by the powers to be. Inflation did not rear it's ugly head, but certainly our esteemed members of congress and senate did, that is, rear their ugly heads.

They voted a few years back that a automatic raise would be in their future (annually) unless they vote no to an increase in their pay.

Neither Sen. Reid or Pelosi, the Speaker of the House, have returned my calls nor answered the letters that I sent them. Semper Fidelis. Blackcoat.

The adminstration has proposed a $250 payment, similar to last year.

That is not at all the same as an increase. An automatic increas would be received every year, for the rest of their lives. And any future increase would be compounded with one. That is a one-time (tiny) payment, supposedly as a stimulus, and really just a smoke screen.

Hell,we all know that our congressman and senators really deserve a raise every year!!And that's really nice of them to be sending out a $250 check to disabled Vets,while they pocket thousands from a raise.

Our "esteemed" lawmakers of laws to benefit themselves will realize an increase of over $5000 in 2010 and over $4000 in 2011. Semper Fidelis. Blackcoat.
