I never thought I would say this. Believe me I am gung Ho as they come. However if I were a young person today. I could not join any of the services with these drastic changes. It's like everything I believed in or was ever taught is now a lie.
Let me clarify. I have absolutely no issue with a woman eventually becoming Commandant. As long as it's not a politically correct move.
This would imply a woman moving up the ranks just like everyone else, WITHOUT a single promotion being based on the "woman factor" just to make things "even". The woman must have earned every one of her milestones, if you get my drift. And she must not have bypassed anyone, merely because she was a woman. She must be the most qualified person, at the time of the decision.
I just don't see this time and place as anything but a politically correct motivated decision, if it's even true .

I most definitely is. It's from an article posted on the Duffle Blog.
The stories are usually pretty funny, but the best part, for me anyway, is reading the comments. It's been around for a while and states that the articles are all satire, but some people don't seem to pay attention.
If the OP would have said they saw it on the duffel blog I would have ignored it. The duffel blog is a satirical web site very funny there is one articel saying the Marines are not guarding heavens gate but hell's gates very funny

I said it was a Duffle Blog article three days ago. It's the post right before your first post.
