McCain Pastor: Islam Is a 'Conspiracy of Spiritual Evil'
Despite his call for the U.S. to win the "hearts and minds of the Islamic world," Sen. John McCain recruited the support of an evangelical minister who describes Islam as "anti-Christ" and Mohammed as "the mouthpiece of a conspiracy of spiritual evil." McCain sought the support of Pastor Rod Parsley of the World Harvest Church of Columbus, Ohio at a critical time in his campaign in February, when former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee was continuing to draw substantial support from the Christian right. At a campaign appearance in Cincinnati, McCain introduced Parsley as "one of the truly great leaders in America, a moral compass, a spiritual guide." Campaign aides positioned Parsley right behind McCain for photographers, apparently unconcerned about Parsley's well-established denunciations of the Islamic faith in a book "Silent No More" and on DVDs of sermons about Islam. "Islam is an anti-Christ religion that intends through violence to conquer the world," Parsley says on the DVDs reviewed by ABC News. "America was founded with the intention of seeing this false religion destroyed," Parsley says, "and I believe Sept. 11, 2001 was a generational call to arms that we can no longer ignore." Parsley's views and his connection to the McCain campaign are now beginning to show up on Arab Web sites and newspapers. Al Moheet, a regional Arabic Web site operating in Egypt, carries the story with a picture of McCain and the headline: "McCain's Spiritual Adviser Calls for the Destruction of Islam." |

(apples and oranges!) I don't know, "Eljefe007", I can't figure much from the article you linked to. Your stuff here is a varient in "copy and paste" from that article rooted in Al Moheet, rooted in the totalitarian Islamic state of Egypt. I wonder: did Mohammad ever lay down his sword, changing it to a plowshare? Did Jesus ever use one? break, break Of course they would put something like that: Obama comes off as a President Carter type---easier for them to "manage" than a McCain type. Because the vast, far flung world of Islam, by an extremely gross majority, is not American---whose leaders are Anti-american ....well, I fear the consequences of rampant Islam immensely because it's grossly Un-american and Un-christian. Obama's Black Liberation Theology church's stuff and McCain's more mainstream pastor's stuff is mild by comparison. Think about it. There is a scary volume of Islamic (totalitarian) rooted crap going on in the world. Granted, much the less of which comes from totalitarian minded Egypt (and Al Moheet), mind you. |

Nice try Eljefe007 but your logic is woefully impaired. This isn't even in the same ballpark as Obama's pathetic situation.
Nowhere has McCain said this man was his spiratul advisor, let alone for 20 years, like Obama. It's nice to see you are resorting to selective quoting from "Arabic web sites" |

The problem with Obama wasn't that his pastor was a whack job... the problem with Obama is that he said he had been brainwashed by his pastor for the past 20 years. McCain has made no such statement. The difference between the Obama scandle and your McCain spin, isn't even in the same ballpark for a comparison. That's like saying Hanoi Jane is no different than Billy Graham because both traveled to a foreign country once. Jeeze, logic101! |

Hey Ips, it seems that McCain has rejected his pastor for his nazi remarks...which makes him NO better than Obama...

WHAT A HOOT
Hours after his rejection of Pastor John Hagee’s endorsement, John McCain rejected the backing of Pastor Rod Parsley, who said that Islam was a “conspiracy of spiritual evil.” McCain is now flip-flopping. Republican presidential candidate John McCain has rejected the endorsement of an influential Texas televangelist criticized for his anti-Catholic views. McCain rejected the months-old endorsement of Texas preacher John Hagee after an audio recording surfaced in which the preacher said God sent Adolf Hitler to help Jews reach the promised land. Hagee also has referred to the Roman Catholic Church as "the great whore" and called it a "false cult system." He has linked Hitler to the Catholic church, suggesting it helped shape his anti-Semitism. And Hagee said Hurricane Katrina was God's retribution for homosexual sin. . |

The difference between Obama's Pastor and McCains is that McCains told the truth and Obamas is just a Resist.
