How fit do you have to be to survive training? Like how many push-ups, curl-ups etc. do you do for a usual day? I am only fourteen and I want to get a head start on physical fitness.

You have a ways to go to worry about this if you're only 14 but I guess it's never too early to start. Play sports, swim, run, and don't eat too much junk food. You'll be alright. The military will be there though, just enjoy school for now. Take care...

Having been through the FBI's Basic SWAT School, their physical training (PT) instructors advocated the following regime to stay in "SWAT" shape: pushups, pullups, situps/crunches, dips, and running. That's it.

As for weights, they said if you could only do one weight-lifting exercise, make it squats.

Squats work all of the major muscle groups of the body, which in turn works the minor ones, too.

Thanks for the help, in high school I'm joining Marine Corps JROTC, so that should help me. I'm trying to cut off on the M&Ms.Smile
