I just read the RAID Team 8 message in the traffic and was wondering if it is common for rates other than say PS,MK,GM,BM to take an interest in these container/ HAZMAT groups as a team member? ( I could be in the wrong forum, please re-direct if needed.)

Put in for it if you have the quals. Doesn't matter what rate you are, all can try out.

We (MEO's) were once asked to assist in the search of a large freighter at Blount Island between Mayport and Jacksonville.

You aren't kidding about "hard work". Climbing greasy ladders, digging all around the spaces. I was freakin exhausted. It sure made me respect what those teams do all the time a whole lot more.
