I'm afraid that the majority of those who post on this site have not a clue as to what makes a real warrior and hero. Most are posers or wantabees who would not defend their own family much less their country. Since the mid term elections they have crawled back out of their dark corners with their message of gloom and doom. I saw a photo yesterday of a young female soldier in full combat gear guarding a road somewhere in Iraq. Is that what we have come too? Our women have to fight because our men have lost their balls.

How convenient for you that anyone who disagrees with the current course of events is a poser or wannabe. In my experience-and yes, it's real-those who are heroes are just those who have a sense of loyalty to their beliefs and are willing to act on them.

My Medic in Viet Nam is a great example. Drafted, he served as a Consciencious Objector, never carrying a weapon. Not only did he risk his life for his own men, but for wounded enemies as well. He said it was his job to save lives and that's what he did. He was decorated several times. He didn't believe in Viet Nam, and he doesn't believe in Iraq either, but he is a HERO!

You are so right about your medic, he did what he was destin to do. Just as Smokey is destin to do.

But he is really right about some Americans have lost their balls, their patriotism, and their sense of responibility
they are here in our country with their hands out, free loaders, traitors to the Americans and their way of life.

They should be castrated because they have no working or worthy testicles. We don't need their children to drag us down that road.

I am 76 years old. I am a 32 year veteran of active duty and reserve time, retired 1st Sgt. Give me men with balls and women with a heart full of patriotism. And get rid of the slackers and suckers of us Americans blood. We will defend our country and way of life. Even if we have to suffer the ultimate for AMERICA.

Thank you SMOKEY

Don't feel bad, Smokey5. I have said the same thing in other forums, and received much harsher critcism. But I am with you you...100%

For the most part, the young men of this generation are much different from those of us who served in Vietnam! Although I do appreciate any contribution to the combat arena, even by women, there shouldn't be a need for them to be put into harm's way.

I might be old fashioned, but I believe it is the MEN who should be carrying the weapons!
