The bottom line is; to either listen to General McChrystal and add the additional troops that he has requested or face defeat. After all, Obama appointed General McChrystal to be in charge of Afghanistan, at least he should listen to him.
This is one option - but first I want to see if this president is going to do what he said he would do: finish the real fight against terrorism that is and always was in Afghanistan.
I can understand the president wanting to see what NATO is going to bring to the table before agreeing to send in another 40k Americans - but then he needs to either decide he's going to do the entire job, or follow the plan (or some variation of the plan) put forth by Joe Biden.
IMO - Go for it (minus what NATO will bring to the table).
I still feel like I did when we were playing around in Vietnam, in Desert Storm, in Iraq and now in Afghanistan; make the whole damn place a parking lot. Kill 'em all. let GOD sort it out.
