I had dreams as a teenager to be an over-the-road truck driver. When I signed up, that school was closed to women, so I figured I'd work on trucks and get to drive them anyway. I had a blast! As a member of the last class of WACs, it was difficult to get into MOSs that were predominantly male. My four years as a mechanic was one of the best experiences in my life. Just remember when you are selecting an MOS, try one you can take with you in civilian life. I never was a truck mechanic when I got out, but I dare a man to try and tell me my prop wash is low on my Blazer! Big Grin

Congratulations...I wish things had worked out that well for me. I wanted to re-up for 63B, everyone insisted I wanted to be a 63W. Totally wrong thing to do.
