As I walk around post I see more and more pregnant females wearing tennis shoes with their ACU uniform. Why is this?
Do the doctors tell you do it or do you just like to be different? I know that some women's feet swell when they get further along (my best friends did), but some are not even showing yet already wearing the maternity ACUs and tennis shoes. What gives? Stop the insanity ladies. If you don't need to wear them don't.
PS:I wore boots, worked outside and pulled staff duty until a week after my due date when I finally went into labor, so I know it can be done!
At my last base, the pregnancy profile had a provision in it for the member to be able to wear tennis shoes after 26 weeks. We had some coming in as soon as they found out they were pregnant wanting the tennis show waiver. Go figure! I guess it's a pride in appearance. I would rather wear my full uniform for as long as I could. Personal preference on my part.

that would chaff my butt too. I wore Bates steel toed safety boots through all of my pregnancy. Course, Bates are like wearing tennis shoes to me anyway.. Awesome boots!
I feel your pain. I was working right up until I had my daughter, worked a full day, went home, went to bed, then had her the next morning and I was 40wks and 5 days. I never once wore tennis shoes. The only thing I ever took advantage of was at about 39wks or so I stopped blousing my pants, it took too much to try and bend down to do that and my husband had to help me lace my boots up.
