Don't mind me. I'm just another developmentally disabled dysfunctional veteran who just wants to be left alone and keeps muttering those things that my inner voices tell me to say. Roll Eyes

We did our own pubs after that despite the extra load incurred at the expense of liberty and leave. The document had to go out to the fleet or the asset would not be legal to operate. ICGS = "I Can't Get Sh*t" for us. Now that ADM Allen appears to be taking some round turns on the line here, hope may be in the offing. We must have some people on the payroll who understand Contracting and the legalities involved or we'll keep getting the short end of the stick.

Hi Dave, that is interesting what you said. ICGS (or as your refer to it I Can't Get Sh*t) has claimed that the only problems seems to be with the cutters, not the C4I$R, logi$tics support, or aviation. support, etc. You are pointing out that ICG$ is faulting on logistics and aviation support as well :-/

Suffice it to say that ICGS either failed to produce or charged us excessively for what it was able to produce. It's absolutely imperative that we (USCG) acquire some contracting savvy so as to deal properly with money-sucking vendors. One would think that we'd have learned that lesson in the late 70's when the replacement for the HH-52 helo was being sought (back then, two pilots off the hangar deck were tasked with that project). Corporate memory? We don't need no stinking corporate memory!!

Keep pouring it on Dave. Please continue to tell us the details of the problems you saw with Deepwater.

I do agree with Tim. Who is "Aaron Jones, Department of Defense , Military Enthusiast Resides in Arkansas"?

He seems to have a huge interest in Deepwater.

Military contractor?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Stop it.. you guys are starting to sound like MC Wray.. maybe it's in the water. Whisper I wouldn't say "interest". I would say, "knowledge", or at least, he/she reads more into it. Wink

I would guess the "intent" was to get your goat. It's pretty obvious.

Don't mind his theatrics Aaron Jones, the poster M_Wood51's method of "defending" his posts is to cover his tracks by editing them or go back and delete them when he thinks no one is watching.

This thread is about the comments of ADM Allen with regard to holding to task those involved in Deepwater...

Get back on the subject at hand, all of you knock off the juvenile insults back and forth and stay on topic or I will be forced to step in and take Moderator Action. Which will be swift, unbiased, and not subject to review...

AM I CLEAR PEOPLE?

Tim,

Admiral Allen is doing a great job with the Deepwater mess that was handed to him. Now in regards to the mess left to him, I would start by candidly interviewing RADM Stillman, and Greg Giddens.

No M Wood, not kiss a$$, but kick a$$ and holding the likes of RADM Stillman and Greg Giddens responsible. You see my friend, after your +55 years on this planet, it seems like you are beyond gaining a value set where you can differentiate between kiss and kick a$$.

Don't get sidetracked away from the topic by those who would like to distract you KeepingUpWithJones.

Our new wingman here, the moderator Nobodyaskemebut, is an honest broker who is working hard to ensure fairness here and that these threads stay on topic; allow him to deal with those who would disrespect his request above that posts refrain from juvenille insults and remain on the subject at hand.
