Been seeing that name pop up a lot here. Been getting a few emails from various sources about this. And here is what I've been told. Mr. Dekort probably should be a little concerned about that DOJ investigation, given that this administration's position on big defense contractors. If anything, DOJ was able to put a muzzle on him and to ice his case. Then just before January 20, 2009 the DOJ releases a press release that there will be no charges filed for the Deepwater matter. Then Lockheed will turn around and tell Dekort and his lawyer to essentially go take a hike since the DOJ has found nothing criminally wrong with Deepwater.
Also Lockheed could spin it and file a countersuit against Dekort for slander and libel, since the DOJ investigation proved that Lockheed and Northrop were not criminally culpable.
And one doubts that a new administration such as Hilary Clinton would try to re-open that investigation.
Just go to opensecrets.org to see that she is #20 to receive political donations from Big Defense. #1 is our favorite, John Murtha.
Unless overridden by my fellow moderators or the forums administrators a discussion about this individual and any perceived legal woes he may or may not have I am locking this because the topic isn't germaine to the discussion board for Deepwater. We all know who he is, that he went out on a limb because of his personal convictions, but this topic is closed.
