OBAMA: "...Democrats are an opinionated bunch. You know the other side, they just kind of do what they’re told. Democrats, ya’ll thinkin’ for yourselves..."

video source: >http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2009/10/22/obama_republicans_do_what_theyre_told.html<

IMHO, with one un-presidential quip- or perhaps slip- the CIC dismisses fifty or so million Americans.

Yep, every registered Republican is an unthinking drone that simply follows the orders issued from the GOP thru FOX News and Talk Radio.

Condescending at it's best.

shuman,

Condescending, possibly. Accurate comment by the President, even more likely.

There's something about all of this continued GDub bashing that makes an adult wonder, isn't there? Obama's remarks were patently silly by any measure of mature politicking. Remarks like his latest gaff do nothing to help him and show him to be something much less than presidential.

Of course, it could be the fault of the folks operating the teleprompter. Wink

Egad! I hope the "you" in your comment was rhetorical. I just can't see how President Obama expects to "clean up" things with divisive remarks like the one quoted at the start of this thread.

Und when Nancy Pelosi says we are the Master Political Party, we say Sieg Razz, Sieg Razz in Nancy's face!

Give me a break Phoenix the Repub leadership screwed up the Dem Leadership is screwing up!

Why because neither parties leadership give a rat's arse about this country, the Constitution, or safeguarding it for future generations.

All they give a damn about is power! Their power over us! It is time for all of them to go! They all need to be tossed in November of 2010 and 12.

First, I could care less about ole Dubya, second, the mess that Barry is making makes ole Dubya look like a third rate hacker at mess making...
For all those that think that ole Barry will pass a health care plan, just how in the h3ll are we gonna pay for it?...
No smoke and mirrors, just how in the wide, wide, world of sports are we gonna pay for it?!...

"Duyba" left us mired in two wars, 13 Trillion in debt, soldiers, saliors, marines and airmen extended to the breaking limit. He left the VA in shambles and the World hating the USA.

For eight years conservatives did just as they were told. It will take many years to clean up your mess.

No, I'm afraid that it's America's mess, regardless or where one wishes to point fingers. And divisive comments from a POTUS do not help the process of going forward. Instead, they are merely an invitation to remain mired in the bickering that so delights little minds.

The "do what they're told" comment is not quantifiable; it is, however, juvenile and possibly very harmful at a time when serious folk are trying to get together on serious matters. It's time for the country to get out of the political sandbox. And that, IMHO, involves liberals, conservatives, and all other political persuasions.

Having been out-of-country for much of this year due to my work commitments, I have seen and heard much news and information that our controlled U.S. media does not cover and/or distribute, for whatever odd reasons they have. I saw and heard an interview by Obama's chief (dis/mis)information official giving the foreign press a detailed briefing about the 2008 Obama presidential campaign, revealing the many disturbing and extremely controversial Obama/Democrat Party methods and objectives of tightly controlling and directing all of the media/press, and ALL Obama-related information during that time. This planned, ruthless and very questionable campaign information "war plan" clearly brings into open suspicion the legitimacy of the very campaign itself and the results of the election held last November. This man and his minions are RUTHLESS, and bent on ramming their increasingly alarming and much less-than-transparent agenda down our throats. The more we see and learn daily about the real Obama/liberal agenda, the worse it gets. This mess is just NOT good for our country, and yet 'Bush & Co' continues to be the "bogeyman", according to Obama and Pelosi, despite a full year drawing nigh since the polls closed last year, on November 4th, 2008. Obama's "machine" went into action even before he was sworn in...and he oddly continues to remain in "campaign mode", despite the election's fast becoming increasingly distant history. Obama meddles in other local electoral races not his, and he refuses to recognize and abide by the slew of much-touted campaign promises he so often pushed and promoted as far more "open and transparent". By whose standards? The many still-unanswered questions...his 'raised hackles' and his continued inability and refusal to respond candidly and precisely when he is questioned "off the cuff", without his precious prepared script and TelePrompter crutches. He stammers, stalls, "uhhs" and "ahhs" and struggles excessively, clearly having serious problems with giving substantive and real answers. I see this lawyer as a very poor counsel in court...he cannot "argue any cases" effectively without all kinds of support staff--czars, etc.--to "row his boat" for him. The "in-the-pocket-of-Obama" media are equally to blame. The true losers and victims in this awful, dangerous mess are the American People, as usual. So it is. Frown Red Face The "circus" has truly come to Washington! Just look at the string of star quality professional 'clowns' we have now...from the top on down to Joe Biden ("Just bidin' his time"), Nancy "the LOSER" Pelosi, and on down the three-ring-circus line. It's so sad that this is what we have now...the horrible and sour "pickle" we find ourselves in. Maybe things will get better in 2010, if there's anything left not already in China's tight-fisted ownership and hands-around-our-necks control by then. Keep a close watch...be vigilant and aware. A lot is at stake. Many politicians are selling us out, one Executive Order, judicial decree and lousy, un-American, unconstitutional law at a time. Once our rights are gone, they WON'T be coming back or given back, either!! Prez. Obama is set to sign away our U.S. national sovereignty at the upcoming Copenhagen Climate Control meeting in December. There will be NO turning back, once that critical 'nail' is driven into the pine box containing the Constitution. No due process of law or courts, no challenges to or overturning of unproven, bad, hastily-made, emotionally-driven, horribly expensive "green" climate control mandates. These ominous laws and foreign control will be paid for by US, and we will be the most heavily and negatively affected by the many anti-US, hostile, greedy, power-hungry, and often illogical "green machine" powers-that-are-to-be, if Obama falls for all the unproven "dying earth" lies, and does this nefarious "deal with the devil" deed. The only things expanding faster than AL Gore's waistline are his multiple, horribly and far past "morbidly obese" bank accounts! Oh, he 'invented the internet', didn't he, among other things? LIAR! He and his criminal eco-clowns need to be held finally and fully accountable, once and for all. It's high time they put their own money where their loud and noisy mouths are! We will long be paying the high co$t of Gore and his cohorts' expensive, ruinous, ultra-liberal eco-terrorist agenda. Not productive or good...definitely NOT good in ANY light! Red Face Roll Eyes Wake up, folks! The hour is late! Whisper Stay STRONG, stay FREE! Beer Smile
