Man Punches Another He Accuses of Being a 'Zombie' Monday, October 26, 2009
IOWA CITY, Iowa — Iowa City police are investigating an early morning assault in which a man accused another of being a zombie, then punched him twice.
Police say the assault occurred at 1:17 a.m. Sunday at an Iowa City restaurant south of the University of Iowa campus.
A man was ordering food when he was approached by another man who called him a zombie, then hit him in the eye. When the victim tried to call police on his cell phone, the man punched him again, breaking his nose.
I don't really see anything hilarious. A broken nose is a serious injury. It will have to be broken again to be re-set.
The offender was probably high on PCP or Angel Dust which made him hostile, aggressive, and violent-prone. He surely is a danger to society and is a threat to everyone in that community. I bet everyone else in that store was also afraid of him.
Who gets punched and pulls out a cell phone? If I'm in a restaurant and someone just walks up and punches me, especially when I dont know the person, I have to assume the worst, and then I'm grabbing a knife, or a bottle, a chair, something! But not a cell phone, especially when the guy is still there ready to deliver a second blow.

I would too and I have in the past. I wouldn't expect much help from anybody around me either.
Hopefully a security camera caught the assault on tape and are leading cops towards a suspect.
Seems to me this zombie's civil rights are being violated. After all, zombies surely qualify as minorities requiring protection via special legislation.
Wow, what the heck do you say to that?... Just minding your own business, and whammo!... I think the first thing that I would have done, out of reflex, is nail the guy with a foot to the groin but, maybe the guy with pulling out the cell phone was being "civilized", for lack of a better term...
