Conservatives won’t be happy until they make everybody else just as miserable as they are.

Conservatives are a bunch of bitter, angry, unhappy, and disillusioned people.

I don’t think ABI understood the article. It actually slams conservatives for living in a world of make belief trying to pretend everything is alright.

I like your poster girl. Any chance of a McCain Hillary ticket? Wouldn't surprise me, or rather it would surprise me, but wouldn't shock me. She is a Republican after all. Big Grin

No chance Clinton or Obama having anything to do with McCain. McCain doesn’t support Our Troops and Vets.

When it comes down to time to vote McCain consistently votes against supporting Our Troops and Vets and Instead votes on the side of Tax Cuts for the Rich and supporting Cooperate America. Where on the other Hand Clinton and Obama have two of the most outstanding voting records in the senate on Troop and Veteran support.

So come this November I will chose to be a TRUE AMERICAN PATRIOT in supporting Our Troops and Veterans by not voting for McCain but instead voting for Clinton or Obama.

McCain voted 5 times in favor of supporting Our Troops and Vets and 11 times against them.

Obama voted 14 times in favor of supporting Our Troops and Vets and 1 time against them.

Clinton voted 17 times in favor of supporting Our Troops and Vets and 1 time against them.

Yep, let's just tax the hell out of those who work hard and make give most of us our jobs! Sounds like a noble idea, however, noble doesn't provide jobs! If you unfairly tax those who have WORKED hard(I know, that must be alien to those who rely on our government at the welfare office) to get wealthy, they will just get a cheaper labor force elsewhere!
If you work hard, use common sense, go to school, like me, then you will be successful! Not everyone will be wealthy.
Please, RS1, don't give me this garbage about taxing the wealthy. If you were wealthy, maybe not you, because you are an extreme idealog, like George Soros, you would think like; I worked hard for what I have, why should I pay more in taxes for those who have the same opportunites beut did not work hard to achieve success!
In your typcial, emotional, non-rational response probably won't be thought out with a reasonable and decent rebuttal. You will spew your hatred for those who have worked hard for what they have to give to those who haven't!

If a tree falls in a forest and lands on a politician, even if you can't hear the tree or the screams, I'll bet you'd at least hear the applause.

Nope, I sure haven't! However else can you pay for the security of our country? Donations?
I don't waste taxpayers money! I chose my career because I love my country, I love my family and I love the soldier that I am in charge of.
Basically, I love America! If I wanted to get rich, I would've pursued a different line of work! I am VERY satified with my career!

Annoy a liberal, go to work happy!

Darn, and I thought you were looking forward to a career in Blackwater, since they also get paid with our tax dollar - Why not? To some guy in Blackwater, what you're getting is Lunch Money!

So, while our military personal are being warned that they might not get paid, I'm sure that Blackwater personal are not getting this warning.

But once and for all I would like you to cease and desist in insulting all the honest to God, leftist Socialists like myself, by calling Hillary eithger a Socialist, or a leftist.

I oppose NAFTA and the WTO, which are destroying everyone but Corporate America.

I support an end to illegal immigration so that wages will go up, and there will be an end to unemployment.

I support raising the taxes on the Super Wealthy, like the former Chairmen of Merrill Lynch, who after running them into the ground walks away with 200 million dollars.

I support the elimination of corporations in the military, and real increases in pay and benefits to those who risk All to protect our country.

And I think that the Oil companies should be nationalised, they made enough money already off of OUR OIL, that we gave them for pennies on the barrel.

(Got a bigger list, but there aren't enough electrons on this blog to cover them.)

Meanwhile, I'm pretty happy as long as my stupid dog is happy.

Dave (Old, grumpy mean fart, with a happy dog)

Here's a link to the original article: http://www.livescience.com/health/080507-liberal-conservative.html
It appears that conservatives are happier since they find it easier to rationalize, which is a form of denial. Since right wingers like Airborne live in fairly constant denial [liberals are a very small group? In your dreams, my friend], these results shouldn't surprise anyone. Cool

I addressed this months ago. I'll make this really simple for the simple minded:

Conservatives are generally optimistic...while Liberals are generally pessimistic. Cool

Conservatives watch happily as the middle and poor classes are screwed over. Liberals are pissed off about it, which response is more reasonable? This just proves conservatives will tow the party line at any and all costs with their ability to rationalize anything.

AIRBORNE: If you are truly supportive of your country's law and Constitution, then you must despise Bush, Cheney and gang who flagrantly violate the laws of this country. It was Bush who said that "the Constitution is just a God___ piece of paper". Also, I'm curious as to how you define "common sense" that you profess to have? How do you know that God has "issued" you "common sense"? Finally, how do define "liberal" versus "conservative"? Is it possible for one to be "liberal" in some respects and "conservative" in others, or is it a purely black-and-white issue? As USAF_76_2_80 so aptly stated "Ignorance is bliss".

You guys might want to check out the so called "Researchers." Napier is a computer science major at UT Austin and may not have been a graduate as it does not list a degree.

Her research "focuses on political conservatism and religious fundamentalism."

Hardly an unbiased observer huh?

Sounds a whole lot like manipulation of the data to fit a pre-conceived result.

Oh well, why should a liberal be confused by the facts?
