What's more important - how we got here, or how we stop it?

If you don't know how the problem was created your chance of fixing the real problem is MUCH lower. If you were told to take over a platoon and fix the training problem what would you do first? Start changing things or check to see what the real problem is and why there is a problem?

And that is the WHOLE point of our system of government. If it is as Gunny claims and "most people don't want the funds" (and I find that hard to believe. Sure would like to see some public polling on that statement, but I digress) then they will "vote the *******s out" when the time comes.

I believe someone already pointed out that there seems to be some confusion between the TARP funds and the stimulus. Companies were not "forced" to take the TARP funds and states were not "forced" to take stimulus money. Our representative system of government chose to take the monies, period.

Too many miss the point that those elected do NOT speak for the electorate. That's the point. Incumbents are extremely difficult to fire, due to the unethical and often dishonest behavior of the polytishuns and their handlers. The antics of ACORN and its tentacles that register or multiply register all sorts of non-existent voters, Secretaries of State bought by Soros money, and managing to ensure that their candidates eek out a few hundred extra votes--just enough to "win"--creates an underlying, justified mistrust of the railroading of the political system that thinking, observant people see right through and deplore.

The two traditional parties' candidates fail to represent the views of most Americans.

Obama has no competence or Constitutional business sticking his business-inexperienced nose into private sector pay issues.

My personal opinion, it's nazi'ism mixed with communism, liberal nazicoms that fires up Obama, left to his devices the U.S. economy will effectly be destroyed before his next election, too late to vote him out before massive damage to this country has been renderd!
