for four and a half years the usa have devoured tens of thousands of its own people and have literally burned billions of dollars (these shiny toys, humvees and abrams are not cheap!) for achieving… nothing. simply nothing besides killing people and destroying infrastructure and creating turmoil.
the art of war demands truly intelligent players and it seems that the usa were outsmarted by "al-quaida", russia, china et al. "kicking some asses" in some underdeveloped third world country will only weaken yourself… rob sladek, vienna, austria, europe |

Welcome to In the News.
Here we begin discussion with a link or a direct reference to a story in the news. Take a moment and look at some of the existing beginning threads, the Read and Heed and TOS of this site for more information. It's a good idea to introduce your military affiliation for the benefit of the more experienced posters to get things going. Thanks. "I'm saddened that it is politically inconvenient to acknowledge what everyone knows - the Iraq war is largely about oil". (Alan Greenspan)
I admire Jeff Huber. He is a prescient thinker who expresses himself with clarity and with substantive content. Unfortunately, in this op-ed Mr. Huber conveniently commits a mortal sin of omission - he fails to speak out concerning the key role that Israel and the Jews in America play in the advancement of the Next World Order. Huber mentions Iran's possibility of producing nuclear weapons and the fact that Pakistan already has nuclear weapons. However, he conveniently fails to mention that Israel, a middle eastern rogue state, possesses a nuclear arsenal which poses a significant threat in the region and to the world. In another Mil.com op-ed "What is the US Military's Role?", Kathy Roth-Douquet mentions the fact that foreign military officers attending a British defense institute, refer to the two American officers in attendance as "the hegemons". What a perfectly descriptive word for Israel and the Jews in America who have masterfully seduced the US into attacking both Afghanistan and Iraq. Since its inception, I have been uncomfortable with the "neo-con" sobriquet attached to those PNAC, AIPAC and other Jewish controlled organizations that hijacked our government and convinced Bush and company to initiate preemptive death and destruction on two sovereign middle eastern nations. "New Conservatives" (neo-cons) is an absurdly non-descriptive term for these warmongers. Calling themselves neo-cons was a brilliant propaganda ploy that inured them to millions of Americans who consider themselves "conservatives". "Gee, if these people (the neo-cons) are conservatives, then the wars they are promoting must be just - so as fellow conservatives we too are for sending our military to attack whomsoever they deem necessary". A bit over simplistic, but that's how it works. A more accurate description than neo-con is "hegemonic neo-fascistic oligarchs" or simply "hegemons", for that's what they truly are. Ironically, foreign military officers, ostensibly allied to the United States, have a more realistic understanding of the reasons the US is waging wars than does the dumbed-down, arrogant, ignorant and largely disinterested American public. I'm saddened that Alan Greenspan (a hegemon) uses the diversion of "oil" rather than the politically inconvenient truth that the Iraq war is largely about Israeli hegemony. |
