Todays politics remind me of an old saying. - "Ideas are more powerful than guns. We would not let our enemies have guns, why should we let them have ideas?" - Joseph Stalin

If a tree falls in a forest and lands on a politician, even if you can't hear the tree or the screams, I'll bet you'd at least hear the applause.

It would be nice to see other wealthy individuals, who no doubt make some money off of our troops, do the same.

Sheldon Adelman, who has done so much for so many servicemen through his hawkish right-wing focus groups, is now to be credited for doing so much for so few. Good for Sheldon!

Maybe he should treat 40 service personnel every weekend - long, or otherwise. His business could stand the 'comp'.

It always helps to read the whole article, particularly short ones. Perhaps you missed this:

quote:
Armed Forces Foundation spokesman Doug Stone said the trip would be the first of many, and said Adelson wanted to eventually extend the all-expense-paid offer to every veteran who had been admitted to the two hospitals.

Must really suck to be so consistently negative.

I think it's wonderful to find I was right, even pre-actively.

(That's positivity. Wink)

Wonder what took him so long?

(That's more negativity. Eek)

You must be away in Vegas, Jade,
Letting me get away with more 'negativity' like that.
