Well this story acts as a complement to Haydens reports that Al Qaeda is losing their sanctuaries in Pakistan.

“Any person, organization, or government that supports, protects, or harbors terrorists is complicit in the murder of the innocent, and equally guilty of terrorist crimes."
President Bush, May 1, 2003

“In an annual threat assessment released in February, US intelligence reported it had detected an influx of new western recruits to Al-Qaeda safe havens in Pakistan's federally administered tribal areas since 2006.”

“"Al-Qaeda is improving the last key aspect of its ability to attack the US -- the identification, training, and positioning of operatives for an attack in the homeland," the report said.”

According to CIA director Michael Hayden, al Qaeda in Pakistan is a “clear and present danger” and has safe havens in Pakistan.

And now the Pakistan government has negotiated with those who harbor al Qaeda AND refuses American forces permission to hunt and kill those who are planning the next attack against America.

Leading up to war, President Bush described re Iraq as a “a grave and gathering danger” dangerous enough to attack.

Today there is a “clear and present danger” emanating from Pakistan.

The President’s plan where Pakistan is concerned – keep al Qaeda “off balance” with a few Predator attacks.

The rise of the new emirate in Pakistan. Scary stuff, which no one seems to want to hear. Nothing like the, "Head in the sand, it's all the liberals with their bad news," fault.

Pakistan and the Taliban have had a relationship for a long time - and we've known that.

A thought:

a. Pakistan supports the Taliban.

b. The Taliban support al Qaida.

c. So, can one naturally expect a relationship between al Qaida and Pakistan?
