I am FURIOUS! I get 'access denied' quite often. There is an older thread/post here that we asked Rob to intervene to remove the 'Coffin' ads. ((Think Cider_Alpha was OP)

Walmart is in business and likes to get the drop on things. I guess they want their fair share of Peelosi's health care plan. Sears will jump in next...mark my word.

who knows, with the low prices on coffins they have on their site, Wal-Mart might be able to get a contract to be the exclusive distributor of the death panel. Would work perfectly for the Pelosi crowd as they could demonstrate the incredible savings to an elderly person's family if they would simply kick off and use a Wal-Mart casket.
I can see it now...
"See Mr Jones, at 73 we just dont see the benefit of letting you have that pacemaker. Thats gonna be $33,500 but if you would simply let nature take its course then we can have you buried with a nice headstone for only $4500 AND we will give your family a $500 carbon credit so THEY can be allowed to breathe next year. Its a win-win. Think about how you will be helping the environment and your fellow citizens who could better use those health care resources"

For what? Is a coffin not an alternative for someone who can not afford health insurance? That is the ONLY Alternative!

This has NOTHING to do with the U.S. Military. I think this is very distasteful in Wal Mart selling Coffins during a time in which this nation is struggling to answer some very serious question for itself. I bet many American's would take this as a slap in in their face from a Corporate Giant who could easily properly insure their workers for health care but choose not to.

Then again, I wish they would try to sue me, there are PLENTY of left wing organizations that would gladly provide me a lawyer specially during this time of battling for universal health care.. Big Grin

You are misguided. IMO. No one in the USA is refused access to Health Care.

Nothing I have said is not the truth. 'great American" There is nothing "great" or "American" in Wal Mart. At one time there was, when Sam was alive, he would have never tolerated what they have turned his jewel in to.

Agent your funny, no where in my title does it say this is wal marts plan, it merely says wal mart provides an alternative for non-insured employees and that statement is true. Boy the truth hurts..obviously.

Well either case Sgt, once again this nation needs to asked itself, when is capitalism to much? Maybe the new health bill needs to include death benefits like us military get, including a coffin as well, after all, it's part of my Vet Benefits (well a s rock anyway don't think a coffin is included).

Die here, Rock Included

*Coffin Sold Separately
