Why change a good thing? As a Nam combat vet there was nothing Ma Duece couldn't do. From a quad mount on the Gun Trucks to squeezing off a single round and nailing a paper plate a quarter of a mile aaway from atop an M113A the raw power was awesome and what a sense of security it was? If weight is a problem then perhaps our troops should be in better physical shape and spend less time on computers.

I was a big fan of the M2 as well.. what longevity, and from a superior family of weapons as well... is there a link you're referencing?

Pretty good shootin', 6748644.

Do you have a profile to go along with "E-4 Army Veteran"?

Probably because some contractor is seeing $ signs in trying to talk some military folk into what he thinks is a good idea.

Like the B-52, like the M113..upgrade if needed but leave it alone.

Bottom line. A .50 round on target speaks volumes.

I've seen it in another place...maybe the Barrett website. Think this is Afghanistan. If its the same one, the target is hiding behind a rock. You hear the shot, see the rock split, and the guy falls out.

Need more than a rock to stop an M2 round...
