CLEVELAND -- Cleveland police said they have found 6 decomposing bodies in a home on Imperial Avenue.

Tonight the manhunt continues for a convicted rapist who lives there.



The U.S. Marshals Service joined the efforts on Friday to locate 50-year-old Anthony Sowell. Police are searching the neighborhood surrounding Sowell's Imperial Avenue home, and are looking in vacant homes and abandoned buildings.

CrimeStoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the capture of Anthony Sowell. Also, the US Marshals Service is offering a reward of up to $10,000 leading to his capture.

Police said the department's sex crime unit was serving a sexual assault warrant for Sowell at the home Thursday night when they discovered the bodies.

The badly decomposed bodies were found in the attic and there is also evidence of a freshly dug grave in the basement where the other bodies were found, police said.

The coroner's office is still attempting to establish age, race and gender of the decedents and to affix manner and cause of death

No I am in favor of letting judges do their job of judging and not telling them because this small time criminal has 3 strikes you must put him in for life while that rapist goes free due to lack of money and room. Look you folks want to jail all these people like I said march up to your state government and put your money where your lips are.

Anyone who had done something so terrible to be given a life time term in prison needs to be put to death. It is inhumane to keep an animal locked up in a cage for the rest of its life. As for sex offenders they need to be publicly burned alive.

Im not a fan of 3 strikes. I think its stupid as well as throwing people in prison for simple possession. I simply want the punishment to fit the crime. The idea of using prison only as a punishment is also a dumb concept. I think there are far more creative ways to get the desired effect from "punishment" I dont even mind borrowing from our past and from other cultures.
whats wrong with a caning or flogging for some criminal acts? Hell, I think we need to bring back the public hanging in the town square. some of these things would have a dramatic deterrent effect on would be criminals.

bring back the stocks! A few days in them being pelted with rotten vegetables might prove cureative! And a good public (seasonal, of course) dunking in as offical humane dunking chair......I can see it all now......

Violent criminals like this should be put to sleep, and their organs should be given to those law abiding citizens who need the organs to live.

A Guy I've known since he was 11 has spent over half his life in prison.

Starting when he was 16 for trying to run a NYPD detective over. He gets out in 7 weeks, for his latest escapade 2 years ago. Always the same, Drugs followed by theft, robbery, assault. he's 46.

At some point does it take him killing someone before he goes away permanently? I say that as each successive time he was paroled the crimes he committs become worse and worse. Why he even recieves Parole is beyond me and his Brother even wonders why. His Brother had to sell his own legal firearms collection as he is worried George will steal them and kill someone or get himself killed in a future criminal act.

He started in the late 1970's with some other kids doing Car theft and coke. several of the other kids from one filipino family have all been to prison for conspiracy involving drugs, car theft, robbery, etc. one of the brothers walked out of Creedmore and took his family hostage.

Those Chinese are some harsh ****'s but then again they dont have much of a crime rate either.
