Hey AF..let's just outsource everything (including the war). Maybe you'll stop spending tax dollars redesigning a new uniform or maybe we'll give congress a good reason to the AF back under the Army.
We do not need reductions in any of the branches. We need to increase our forces by at least one million troops spread across the board. Reduction is the dumbest idea this year. The Army extends deployment time in the middle east, the Marines do the same and here the AF is reducing their manpower. What is next the Coast Guard will switch to canoes to save money. When are the elected morons, oops I mean members of congress, going to keep this country fully, repeat fully ready to protect itself.
Does the congress think the Russians have resumed their probing of our air space to check on the weather? The Russians are making money with their oil and other assets and have resumed rebuilding their military in both manpower and prestige. They build, we reduce. How dumb is that?
The next time you hear Charlie Rangle say we need a draft, there aren't enough people to fill the ranks, our military is overstretched, and all that other "rot" remember this story; and force levels are DETERMINED by the congress; determined by the THREAT LEVEL. Now, at this time in history, we can do more with less because of the ability to be more lethal and our ability to neutralize ANY enemy is so much greater than even ten years ago. We can no longer afford to maintain a large, poised force and must be faster, quicker, smarter and cheaper or the balance will teter...never again must we wait to be attacked before taking action, in spite of guys like John F'n Kerry or Ted Kennedy, or Joe Biden; or Mr. Greenjeans, Algore, and the dancing BillHill duo on the beach at Normandy with the "cross-of-stone" that just happened to be there that inspired them to do the fox trot...never again 9/11.
last year they wanted to kick out all us Airmen. now, its the officers. They kick us out, make us cross train, and still recruit new people. can anyone tell me how this makes sense?
They offer for people to go to the army, and how many people have done that? i think last year the number was under 400.
