From Detroit Freepress:

"After a 2 year investigation, FBI agents descended on a Dearborn warehouse Wednesday hoping to capture the suspected head of an Islamic fundamentalist group.

The scene quickly turned chaotic, however, in a shootout that caused agents to gun down Luqman Ameen Abdullah, 53, leader of the Masjid Al-Haqq mosque in Detroit. Abdullah is accused in a federal complaint of heading a Sunni Muslim group with the mission of establishing a seperate Islamic nation within the United States.
snip

the suspects "are members of a group that is alleged to have engaged in violent activity over a period of many years and known to be armed," a joint statement from the Detroit FBI & US attorney's General Office said."

What no comparison to Ruby ridge and Waco? Of course the azzhole that was killed called himself a muslim rather than a christian I guess that is why his actions are not being excused and the government blamed by the usual suspects.

Ruby Ridge & Waco were both poorly executed arrest attempts. This clown shot first(according to FBI). But if it makes you feel better & gives equal time, all three were/are wacked out folks. Roll Eyes

Just repeating what I keep hearing Motive, nothing more. Look around the world, sad but true. Those who do keep to their faith & maintain it as it should be do not dare speak out against those who are doing the violence, fo fear of retribution to them & family. So yes, I'll stand by my statement, even if it's allegedly does stereotype. Angel/Devil

Islam is like every religion used and abuse like them all. We all want peace but people want peace though other means.

The point being There has been a sudden influx of radicals using people in tight spaces. This includes prisons and jails and groups of same beliefs.

What we are seeing are groups of radicals being arrested and being sent to prison. Where they can express there view of there type of religion over a wide time.

So don't be surprise to see more radicals(not just Islam) being killed or arrested in this country of ours.

Concur. Lets not forget the Gonzales boy either. Sure, no one got killed there, but it sure was an un-needed use of force.

"http://mypetjawa.mu.nu/archives/199378.php" This is soooo scary in a way....Here is why (ONE among many amongst the embedded links) ***This is the Group that is alingned with the Mumbai Massacre*** -----"Again, am I the only one deeply troubled by a terror supporter who also helps people immigrate to the US?

As expected, an internet forum is mentioned. Headley left messages at this Yahoo group expressing a desire to harm those behind the Danish Mohammad cartoon publications. One has to wonder whether or not these public internet statements were instrumental in putting the pair under surveillance? The group doesn't seem like the kind of place where Islamists would be welcome." MESSAGE CENTER AT YAHOO GROUP!!
Read the story. It's about the arrests in Chicago. Linked to AQ....Clck on "left messages at this Yahoo Group" ...This Group is still 'active'.

Strange that in this most "Christian" of nations, we shouldn't have a much lower murder rate, or not have one of the highest incarceration rates of the world. What does that say about how the world views "us"?

The world? Sudan, North Korea, Somalia, Burma(or whatever it's called now), etc. But yeah we got problems, but based on the number of folks who still come to our country, whether legally or illegally, I'd say it's favorable.
