It's going to be a tough one, unless everything checks out and all points lead to him, the Corps stands by their NCO's so I wish the best to the family in getting justice from the investigation. Sometimes WM's aren't viewed very highly from my experience in the Corps, you must certainly have all your ducks in line and more than solid proof going up against NCO's especially female vs. male / nco vs. lcpl

What a bizzare...sad...sad story!

Oh boy, another case of pure speculation. Here we have the J.Ville Sheriffs office stating she's dead (BUT) there is a BOLO out to every hospital on a 5'4 blond girl with a USMC tatoo on her upper arm who should be having a baby any day now being she is 8 months pregnant. Lets not forget her stepmother says she is a compulsive lier. They(the medical staff) state that she suffers from Bi Polar dissorder and even record her first "sexual" accusation about a senior Officer who she later droped charges on. Another thing that is troubling is that her ATM card is still being used. The person using it is a bit "smart" if you will in that he/she is covering the cammera when doing a withdrawl. From what I can see between this story here and the one posted on MSN is that we have a girl who had a relationship with the accused Marine. Now, the accused MArine got her pregnant and all the sudden he raped her. Not only that but others have stated that they had a close relationship. For this Sheriff to make a claim like he did is just complete BS. If there were any evedance to support this why is there a BOLO out to all the Hospitals with her info on it dealing with the birth of her child? The bus ticket that was never used along with an abandon car doen't help in this case either.

If she indeed is dead, wich I pray that she is safe, then lets wait to fid out what reallt happened on this. I cannot imagine what it would be like to live life thinking about the loss of a child but I cannot forgive the likes of media loving people who just want to be in the limelight either. Hopefully she is going to turn up soon and if not, let this be a lesson to all LEO's to keep there mouths shut and remeber the number one thing you ar taught in the acadamy (Never add your opinion in any case!) My prayers go out to the familey and friends involved in bothe parties and lets keep looking forward to the safe return of this girl.

Well, I stand corrected in my assumption. I guess that they did find her body in the ditch and now it seems to be a conflicting mess with a note from the man who burried her etc........
May God bring peace upon the familey and friends of this woman and bring this "other" Marine to justice or, at least questioning. This is horrable and yet, nothing about the baby has been mentioned as of right now. For all we know he could have taken the baby in all of this. I know this is a very disturbing accusation but her being almost full term it is possible.

I read the same thing myself, check out the link I have in my first post on this story. MSN is saying that she had her first case against a senior officer wich later was dropped. Another interesting thing on MSN that is not reported here is the comments her own stepmother made about her being a compulsive liar. I think the reason they cannot find either one of them is that they are together fleeing to get away from all that was created. The person who has been using her ATM card may well be the accused Cpl or it may be her. Why would this CPL risk his whole career when the evidance showed that they had a close relationship??? He was not a flight risk because he had nothing to worry about? Maybe she contacted him and now they are on the run together. This Cpl. knows darn well what she is facing in a CM and knowing that she is carring his child may be enoughf to cause him to join her in this mess. Of coarse, this is all just speculation from what I have read and I could be completely wrong on everything.....

I have to say that the girl and her chilled were taken care of. So to speak. I think that the sexual assaulter, who was her “superior officer”, has taken care of her, kidnapped her and killed her. Completely disposing of the body. But that’s just what I think.

wow im 20yrs old the same age as this girl... this is crazy i jus join the marine in basic training this is crazy.....the military telling u stand up for your country and wat u believe in.....as soon as something bad happen to u ur consider a nobody dag that soooo wrong my heart goes out for her cause im the same age and in the same branch as her this could be any of us dealing with this it sad that this is happening .......

Female Marine.....Male Marine....Officer or NCO, it doesn't matter. When you commit cold blooded murder especially to another military person, you will pay ten fold. Disciplinary procedures are far worse in the military than that found in the civilian world. Rape & Murder of another military person under the UCMJ drops the hammer down pretty hard on the guilty.

A young female was killed and the chief suspect in this case is a young CPL who is now AWOL from his unit and is on the run from authorities. Someone credible has come forward with Physical evidence from recent reporting by authorities which are leading the search for her recovery. This will now be a Federal case and the US Marshall service / FBI will most likely be brought into play.

Its a tragedy that this sort of thing had to happen and I feel for the family now. Its incidents like this that ruin and tarnish military recruiting and everyone suffers as a result. The Marines are now going to get burnt bad by Federal authorities over the handling of this case from the original handling and later investigation by its internal JAG representatives.

Well there are countless possibilities to what could have happened but two very prominent ones are that she One: Decided to go AWOL and get off of the grid out of fear that the accused Ceasar Lauren would find her and kill or harm her and is trying to keep out of the loop for her own protection.Evidence supports this because of the purchasing of the unused bus ticket to a place in texas known for its "Untracable Areas" and /or this could have been her route down to Mexico and out of the country releasing her and her child from the punishments of the government and the guy Lauren. Two: He found out that she was going to testify against him and knew that there would be eneough evidence to get him locked up so he killed her and then took the ATM card to stay off of the Grid while evading authorities and finding a way to escape prosocution.Noting the fact that the person using the card is covering the camera and most likley using cash to pay for other expenses because it is relativley untracable. Either way I hope and pray that the worst of the two isnt the reality of the situation.

Maybe he hasn't met with investigators because (in the very next paragraph):

"They don't know where he is," Brown said of the suspect. "He's gone."

I think I'm more confused after reading the story than I was to begin with!

According to a CNN live interview with the Onslow County sheriff, there is a witness to Lcpl Lauterbach's murder. The witness says she is dead, from inflicted injuries and is buried in a particular area. The sheriff's department is searching the area with dogs.

The sheriff isn't saying whether or not this witness saw the actual murder or had subsequent conversations with Cpl Lauren. The witness is a post-active-duty Marine.

Im sure that in that case the worst has happened and we can all hope that the justice that is due is given without hesitation.

Its just sad. You see this to often in the military. reminds me of a situation from when I was in Germany. A female soldier had been raped when another soldier forcibly made his way into her room, and C.I.D. treated it like a normal incident. All they did was send the other soldier to another post and treat the victim like a criminal. The last thing they want is for the civilian authorities to find out about these situations because it just goes to show you how unsafe females really are now a days in the military. Especially with all the freaks they are letting in now too! I say if you rape, lock 'em up and throw away the key. Filthy animals.

The main point here is that a murder was committed against a female Marine not to mention a previous RAPE on her person that led to this individuals pregnancy. RAPE as well as MURDER are FELONY offenses especially where the rape victim was pregnated and was carrying a child for eight months. Regardless of any supposed hearsay about airplane tickets and ATM cash withdrawals, that is all circumstantial.

A pregnant female that is eight months pregnant, that is murdered in cold blood carries a heavy punishment in the civilian world and worse in the military. Remember, in a murder case, the mother was killed and her unborn child is also a victim. That equates to two people slain.

The Marines undoubtedly will be extremly scrutinized now by Federal authorities over the handling of the original rape charge.

The prime suspect is a Marine Corporal and is now AWOL and on the run from Federal authorities. With technology and Amber alerts that are viewed all around the country on the nations highways and interstates, its just a matter of time before the suspect will be found.

This Corporal is considered the chief suspect and is now wanted by Federal authorities. Once the body is recovered, DNA will be most likely taken from the victim as well as a DNA sample from this Corporal.

Hope they catch the suspect and punish him to death soon.Bless her and familie.
