WASHINGTON - Chanting "Kill the bill," thousands of conservatives rallied at the Capitol on Thursday against the Democrats' health care overhaul plan.

The campaign-style event kicked off a daylong, Republican protest against the legislation.

"This bill is the greatest threat to freedom that I have seen," House Republican leader John Boehner of Ohio told the crowd gathered on the lawn near the West Front of the Capitol.

Gotta work on that.

13 of the represenatives/senators on the podium at the demostration today are also on the Insurance Industries payroll.

Gotta work on that also.

One senator said..."I will now read from the Bill of Rights....." (holding a copy up in his hand)
He then preceded to read from the preamble to the Constitution.

Gotta work on that also.

I tell ya guys, you can't pay good money for entertainment like this....Or are we ???

Mike is just as confused as Boehner was. He was holding up (he said) a copy of the Constitution from which he said he was going to read the preamble. He then proceeded to read the Preamble to the Declaration of Independence.

Preamble to the Constitution:

“ We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Those congress critters who think they can vote for this monstrosity that has grown in ONE WEEK from 827 billion to over 1.2 trillion and from 1900 to 2200 pages and still have their job come election time in one year better start looking for a new job now as they are gonna need one.

Attempting to take over 1/6th of the economy and place it under government control is tantamount to communism. Added to the TARP, GM/Chrysler takeover and billions of other disastrous deeds this regime has done we are seeing a fundamental change from what our founding fathers invisioned and its time for the American people to stand up to tyranny and say "Im mad as hell and Im not gonna take it any more"

I'll betcha a dollar to a doughnut, that the politicians, both parties, are running scared and that the "health care bill" will not get passed, if it does till after the next set of elections, next year...
Politicians all want to be re-elected, they could care about anything else...

That's why Boehner needs to go bye-bye. I won't stand for hypocritical candidates on either side of the aisle.

I will say that the Democrats have their issues with the Constitution as well.

Here is Senator Burris discussing how the Constitution says we have the right to "health" even though "health" isn't in the Constitution.
