Matt Drudge is hammering home his new "defeat-at-any-price" message today.
Drudge's lead news story is "OCTOBER DEADLIEST MONTH IN AFGHAN WAR" ... and *every* war-related story has been chosen by Drudge for its negative spin. Even worse ... Drudge's banner links to full-blown far-right hysteria ... ... Revolution Against Obama! ... ... "http://www.usofearth.com/2011-obamas-coup-fails.php" ... That Drudge has *any* defenders on *any* military forum is crazy IMHO. |

Well, that's okay...because your "IMHO" doesn't matter that much anyway, "Centerist". Drudge is free to post whatever he wants on his site, at least for the time being, and others are free to like it or not...

Hmmmm ... so Drudge's style of hysteria *does* have a defender. |

I defend the freedom of the press and the freedom of expression, and the freedom to not give a damn about your "IMHO's". |

Like you, I admire the freedom ... ... that "Defeat At Any Price" dregs like Matt Drudge are exploiting. |

You posted a banner....a "banner". Geez, what a shill. Anyway, Drudge's latest headline is "OCTOBER DEADLIEST MONTH OF AFGHAN WAR". Beat you to it, shillmeister.

Things and people are exploited all of the time, by both sides of the political spectrum, not just the "far-left", or the "far-right" which you love to emphasize. Right now, the Democrats are exploiting the few that don't have health insurance coverage to institute sweeping and broad changes to the entire country. Geez, get over it. |

It sucked when folks on the left were doing this, it still sucks now.

Hmmmm ... "beat me to it?" ... just check the starting post ... Too many folks are *still* not caught-up ... to Matt Drudge's new far-right goal of "Lose-The-War-At-Any-Price." |

Was October not the deadliest month in the Afghan war...I know for certain that one of my Brothers that I was in Iraq with was KIA on October 16th in Wardak Province...You only see what you want to see, so that you can exploit it for your own purposes...whatever on earth they may be. |

Thanks, Bro. Buried him on Saturday...and that's why it pi$$es me off when some here post the things they do regarding the war. The arm-chair Generals are getting old...Yeah Drudge says this, doesn't say that..Huffingtonpost this...whatever...doesn't mean $hit to those that are living the "life". All that yammering doesn't do them one bit of good. |

Finding a fight on a blog you seem to hate makes little sense. Mostly one that's written in the future tense, has not documentation and IS pure fiction. That is if I'm reading it right, dated 2011, two years in the future.

Matt's just whipping up the far-right base ... turning them against the war.
Is Matt thinking two years ahead? You bet he is. Some folks think war-bashing is harmless ... others think different. That's why this forum ain't called the "Drudge/Limbaugh Happy Hour". |

As much time as you obviously spend fantasizing in the Drudge/Limbaugh spank bank I sure hope you're using ample lubricant |

You are like a whining, nagging wife! Here's a good suggestion for you. If you do not like that website, there are millions more you can go to.

Mino just doesn't get it.
War has no good side! It is man's worst invention and good men and women die and property destroyed. You may put 'Obama', or any politician as "Defeat at any Price" because most only see idealism, acceptable losses, and 'reelection'. War is not a bandaid, it is surgery or should I say traumatic amputation. I know of few Soldiers who are not anti-war! ... but realize that 'diplomacy' doesn't always work and appeasement or submission never does. I think what we have is MINO hysteria about anything the non-liberal media chooses to print or broadcast. A SOLDIER DIED TODAY by A. Lawrence Vaincourt ©1985 He was getting old and paunchy and his hair was falling fast, And he sat around the Legion, telling stories of the past Of a war that he had fought in and the deeds that he had done, In his exploits with his buddies; they were heroes, every one. And tho' sometimes, to his neighbors, his tales became a joke, All his Legion buddies listened, for they knew whereof he spoke. But we'll hear his tales no longer for old Bill has passed away, And the world's a little poorer, for a soldier died today. He will not be mourned by many, just his children and his wife, For he lived an ordinary and quite uneventful life. Held a job and raised a family, quietly going his own way, And the world won't note his passing, though a soldier died today. When politicians leave this earth, their bodies lie in state, While thousands note their passing and proclaim that they were great. Papers tell their whole life stories, from the time that they were young, But the passing of a soldier goes unnoticed and unsung. Is the greatest contribution to the welfare of our land A guy who breaks his promises and cons his fellow man? Or the ordinary fellow who, in times of war and strife, Goes off to serve his Country and offers up his life? A politician's stipend and the style in which he lives Are sometimes disproportionate to the service that he gives. While the ordinary soldier, who offered up his all, Is paid off with a medal and perhaps, a pension small. It's so easy to forget them for it was so long ago, That the old Bills of our Country went to battle, but we know It was not the politicians, with their compromise and ploys, Who won for us the freedom that our Country now enjoys. Should you find yourself in danger, with your enemies at hand, Would you want a politician with his ever-shifting stand? Or would you prefer a soldier, who has sworn to defend His home, his kin and Country and would fight until the end? He was just a common soldier and his ranks are growing thin, But his presence should remind us we may need his like again. For when countries are in conflict, then we find the soldier's part Is to clean up all the troubles that the politicians start. If we cannot do him honor while he's here to hear the praise, Then at least let's give him homage at the ending of his days. Perhaps just a simple headline in a paper that would say, Our Country is in mourning, for a soldier died today. |

Fascinating. Exactly how many millions of fellow citizens does it take to be more than a "few", I wonder? |
