No, HERE is an update:

CNN puts Mikey Jackson's will on top of story of soldier captured in Afghanistan.

Go to the home page if you don't believe me.

I realize that these links are based on release time, but c'mon.

As for the troop: who here did NOT get drunk while serving? Doesn't mean he deserves to be hemmed and hawed at in some terrorist training camp.

Get our man back - NOW. Or sacrifice him by nuking the entire country. I don't care. Just get him out of their hands. Those people are animals and will exact whatever retaliation on him they feel warranted by the almighty Allah to show us Infidels a thing or two.

Shame on the soldier for getting drunk. Shame on CNN for having Mikey above a captured soldier. And shame on the United States for not getting him released an hour ago.

It's not that there is no God or that He isn't listening. You're probably just asking the wrong questions.

Then why is Obama obsessed with closing Gitmo?

So which would you prefer if you were captured, being held on a Caribbean Island with some an occasional waterboarding (which wasn't done on the majority of detainees) or being held by the Taliban?

Non sequitor question, should be, "Would you prefer to be tortured or not tortured, despite where you are being held?"...

So now you get to dictate how I phrase my own question?

Not at all, just putting it in a form that can be answered...
You phrased it like the old question from the Lincoln/Douglas debate, when Douglas demanded that Lincoln answer a question with a "yes or no" answer, when it couldn't be...
So, to illustrate the point when Mr. Douglas insisted that any question could be answered yes or no, Lincoln asked Mr. Douglas, "Do you still beat your wife?", answer yes or no...
In short, I won't be led by you...
Next...

FMI????

Does the military have a buddy system or something like that?

You know, so if someone slips and gets drunk then you take his keys away from the tank kind of thing??

They could not drink in Iraq? But you can in Afganistan? So now a slip might happen from time to time?

We had a buddy system when I was in. And nobody ever followed it. Put two grunts together off-duty and we'll be able to think for ourselves. That doesn't mean we always make the right decision, but no soldier is another soldier's daddy or keeper. We are men doing a tough job, so we are expected to be tough men by our peers.

I am not condoning this troop's irresponsible decision. I am, however, absolutely defending him as a brother in arms that needs to be brought home now before those animals saw off his head for a night of a few-too-many.

I hate that term, "battle buddy." Even at 18, we were professional soldiers.

It's not that there is no God or that He isn't listening. You're probably just asking the wrong questions.

Looks like you have become the same problem that you criticize CNN for: you got everyone talking about MJ instead of the soldier.

Well now ... I imagine one might ... but in my view, that doesn't change the fundamental fact that apparently an American soldier is in the hands of the scumbag Taliban ... or a similar group of "join Allah wannabees" ... and how he got there is secondary to getting him back.

We here can only hope and pray for his safe return and that our Military personnel can get it done, hopefully soon.
