Talking in favor of overthrowing the government of the United States - just a few days before American Independence Day? What is it in the Kool-Aid that some conservative talk-show hosts drink that makes them hate the United States so much? |

I can see someone in Parliment saying something similar too your last comment around 1776.
This country was founded in Revolt. Thomas Jefferson even suggested that every 20 years or so we should do it again. Even though I am sure he meant a peaceful one. Maybe Rush has a point, and maybe it is time you read Henry David Thoreau's "Civil Disobedience" as well as the writings of the Founding Father's. I don't agree with how Rush said it but I certainly believe he is correct. Twenty years ago with the encouragement of Ronald Reagan's government here in the states the wall fell in Berlin though mostly peaceful civil disobedience. The only violence was on the government's part as I am sure it would be here. I do not condone violent resistence to the government policies or even talk of overthowing the government. I have seen what tyrants can do. Saw too many people killed by the East German's when I lived with my Grandparents in West Berlin back in the 1960s. And they were just trying to escape tyranny nothing more! Life is too precious but with must come freedom! However, I do believe through the vote and if necessary passive resistence we must demonstrate that we the people are the government and those elected are merely our employees. Frisco |

the thing of it is we are in the grip of a revolution right now.
If the last election in November (6 mos ago!!) didn't serve as a stinging slap in the face of conservative blowhards, then I don't know what will. The fact of the matter is that the people decided they were tired: It's sad. The Republicans have been mightily rebuked and they're so punchdrunk they think it's all some sort of mistake. sigh. |

Rush might say that sometimes the people are wrong. The rest follows and is, then, justifiable. Lenin had the same thought, so did Adolf and Pol Pot and Little Joe, etc ad nauseam, they KNEW better than everybody else. |

We revolted against the British, not because of taxation, but because they took ALL our rights away when we protested about taxation. Rush is full of it. He lost an election, and his boys are out of power. That and that alone is his justification for coming damn close to treason. Have his rights been removed? He can't vote? He can't preach to his brain dead followers? The government cut off his supply of dope? Just what "rights" has Rush lost? Who knows, maybe he's upset that they're taking transfats off the markets, and he's not allowed to eat the same plastic bs that he preaches. Dave |

In Honduras the Suprem Court directed the Military to remove an un-Constitutional President from office.
That doesn't sound like coup, that sounds like a legal arrest, under the law. If Mr. Limbaugh did call for armed violence, that's treason, and that's a crime. God help him if the DoJ takes his comments a face value. But if the US Supreme Court directed the US Military to remove a sitting US President for violating the US Constitution, I would follow the order. |

Sounds like Rebellion is in the air. I wish the Reb/Ps would try it. We had to get Bushwhacked for 8 years, they can live with President Obama for at least 4. |

First of all the removal of the president of Honduras was legal. He was in violation of their constitution. It was not a coup d' etat.
What Rush said is that "many of you" want Obama removed from office. Not that he did. And not by the military. That sounds like impeachment. Nothing tratorous with that. Completely legal. Here is a more complete rendition of Rush's quote... Now, the coup was what many of you wish would happen here without the military. What happened in Honduras was that the president down there was constitutionally prevented from seeking another term of office, said, to hell with it. I'm going to run, I'm staying here. Right out of a book of Hugo Chavez. And opposition got the military -- you are not going to destroy the Honduras constitution that way. So they kicked him out of office, and now you've got the Obama administration upset about that and they tried to stop this from happening. So they'll meddle in all these countries that are going to promote dictators. Obama will be happy to help dictators survive, including in Iran. He didn't meddle there. He meddled in Honduras, but time to throw Israel overboard, an ally. With all this garbage going on, the president of the United States makes a little press conference speech about lightbulbs and a mythical financial statistic that between 2012 and 2042 Americans will save $4 billion in energy costs? |

I'll wait until 1.5trillion in commercial real-estate mortgages come due in the later part of the year, I will wait until the US has a treasury auction and no one shows up, i'll wait...not much longer.
The President is the least of our problems, its the House and Senate that are the real culprits, criminals really... |

Just saying that the UN and the OAS are probably a little bit more "in the know" on the constitution of Honduras.

It would be Joe Biden. Not quite as scary but up there. Nancy would then become VP. |

Truth, you and EYE see I to I. The day of reckoning is approaching. Tea Parties coming up on the 4th. (Sorry Dave, it's the Tax thing). That is the ONLY thing that will save this countries economy. Reps need to GET ON BOARD. |

Rush "lost" nothing. He is a bloviating blowhard who makes his living commenting on the actions of others while safely hiding behind a microphone. |
