If a tree falls in a forest and lands on a politician, even if you can't hear the tree or the screams, I'll bet you'd at least hear the applause.

That may be appropriate, but so is:

"Corruptio optimi pessima" or

"Avarus animus nullo satiatur lucro"

Well, at least he went for the big bucks insteardof the usual nickle and dime thing!
Have a good day!~!"Carpe noctum!" Wink Cool

Some had better be glad My Granddaughters are staying with me this week. Any foul piece of excrement who would betray his fellow warriors, countrymen, and country...HAS committed treason.
That's my opinion, I care not for those in their defense...treason IS treason. You PROVE ME WRONG.

NINE MILLION DOLLARS !!!
Seriously, NINE Mill for bribery and contractor fraud under one roof ? Now, extrapolate the private contractors that HAVEN'T been caught yet and you may begin to get the idea that the entire military/civilian "rebuilding of Iraq" program is in dire need of a serious OMB/GAO//Senate investigation.
Only a corrupt system would allow for this kind of malfeasance and its only the tip of the iceberg. The last 18 months of the Bush Administration handling of this kind of
operations will only increase the number of revelations
on this kind of incompetence.

9.3 Million dollars, huh? God I hope it was worth it since that's going to buy them a nice 5 x 8 dream home complete with concrete walls, an excellent view of the courtyard complete with bars, spacious bedroom with built in toilet and sink, and a free, bland wardrobe of solid color clothing. And let's not forget your new family members that will be living with you....don't drop the soap.

"Army Officer Indicted on Bribery"

Didn't this come up a few months ago? I don't care about his indictments, I want to read about him being convicted.

Great, another black eye for our brave young men and women. Where are we getting these *******s? I think our recruiting efforts are so much under pressure, and our ethics and morals when it comes to officers are so corrupt that we have lost sight of what we are reaal here to do. We are not here to make money like all of those sleazy defense contractors, has anyone heard of defense, national pride, love of country, duty, honor, contry. Do any of these ring a bell, or are we to egocentric now that it's all about ME? Stand all of these pricks up against a wall in complete view of the media and shoot them, repeatedly.

Just this week an Army Captain from 2BN 10th MTN DIV-FT DRUM, NY was arrested at his home in Watertown(The 2nd is in Iraq right now until Nov....)on charges of bribery or extortion(I can't recall right now), also. The local newspaper(Watertown Daily News) says he had asked for $250,000 in exchange of getting military contracts for a specific company in Kuwait and Iraq, and was turned in by an informant after he got a payment of $5000...He's 27 yrs old, and a CAPTAIN!!!! The Army sure knows how to pick them...
