"You in particular don’t have to listen to Rush. In some aspects you’re on par with him, considering how much revisionist drivel you spout daily"

Not sure the exact drivel you're talking about, I prefer to call in mularkey. Can I just have his money?

Even in WWII we knew we had to liberate France, but that took 2 1/2 years to execute. Proper planning takes time, just throwing 20, 30, or 100,000 troops in Afghanistan won't do anything without a solid plan.

D@mn, he, Obama would have had time to make that decision too but, the undermanned troops all up and died, waiting for the PRESIDENT, to make a decision, d@mn those inconsiderate troops!...
That's sarcasm, for those that don't get the use of it...

"As President, my greatest responsibility is to protect the American people…We are in Afghanistan to confront a common enemy that threatens the United States, our friends and allies, and the people of Afghanistan and Pakistan who have suffered the most at the hands of violent extremists. So I want the American people to understand that we have a clear and focused goal: to disrupt, dismantle, and defeat al Qaeda in Pakistan and Afghanistan, and to prevent their return to either country in the future…To achieve our goals, we need a stronger, smarter and comprehensive strategy."
--President Barack Obama

Excellent words. Now we need action. Make a decision, Mr. President.

Now, if I was the father of a service person who is already there in Afghanistan, I think I'd be screaming, "Make up your freaking mind already!!!!!", "Send in more troops or pull the ones there out!".

Don

i guess on a national level that pretty much sums it up..only the people actually affected by the war want the troops to go..along with all the right wing kooks that want obama to poop or get off the comode..... Wink Roll Eyes

Spot On

Here Pres Obama was not surprised by an event like 9/11. He ran on Afghanistan as a platform, he was given briefings by the White House along with Hillary and McCain for the event of one of them becoming Pres.

This is not like a sudden shock of planes being flown into buildings.

But if Pres Obama took 4 years to make a decision that would be a non-issue with his *base*.
