Did you happen to notice that article was from IRAN? Nothing in the US or European news.

Sixteen US troops form the 57th Unit of the Airborne Division have committed suicide inside a military base in Iraq, security sources say.

Iraqi security sources have revealed that 21 US troops had committed suicide inside a former Iraqi air force base 27 days ago, Fars News Agency reported on Monday.

According to the sources, the 21 troops were treated in a hospital but only five soldiers have survived and they are in a critical condition. Security officials said they used potent narcotics to kill themselves.

The troops' motivations for suicide are not known but according to Iraqi sources the servicemen belonged to the 57th Unit of the US Airborne Division that was behind the massacre of several Iraqi families-- mostly women and children-- in northern Baghdad, said Ali al-Baghdadi an Iraqi security official.

The suicides took place in the soldiers' dormitory after the dinner time.
"The bodies of the US troops became misshapen such a way that they looked like 5000-year mummies," said a witness.

According to Iraqi officials' estimates, some 600 US troops, including senior officers, have committed suicide in Iraq since the invasion of the country in 2003. Half of the suicide attempts have been successful.

Not that I'm skeptical but ...

It would appear that the OP's Iran link has been taken down ...

What's the 57th Unit of the Airborne Division? That is a pathetic attempt at propoganda, if you are going to lie at least make it sound feasible.

This story seems to have orgininated in Iraq. If it's true, then it would most likely be a case of murder, not suicide. What kind of narcotics make you look lik a "mummy?"

I hope it's just bs, and if not, I hope they get the killers, and find out how they penetrated security

Wouldn't hold my breath ... this supposedly happened 27 days ago. If it was reported as happening today, I wouldn't believe it ... 27 days ago is beyond the realm of credibility. US soldiers simply don't "mass suicide".

EVERYTHING that can be done to prevent this type of tragedy MUST be done, no holds barred.
This is horrible and the troops need every kind of assistance that can be made available to them to manage stress and morale. prosecuting soldiers for mistakes on the battlefield must stop now.

IF this story is true then it's a case of murder not suicide. Not that long ago about 50 Iraqi's were poisoned over dinner.

If a tree falls in a forest and lands on a politician, even if you can't hear the tree or the screams, I'll bet you'd at least hear the applause.

Main Entry: pro·pa·gan·da
Pronunciation: \ˌprä-pə-ˈgan-də, ˌprō-\
Function: noun

The spreading of ideas, information, or rumor for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause, or a person

Ideas, facts, or allegations spread deliberately to further one's cause or to damage an opposing cause;

It is time for everyone to fact-check before posting. I assume that everyone on this board has access to a search engine. If certain OPs had checked they would have found absolutely NOTHING in the US or European MSM. Roll Eyes

Please don't do Iran TV's and AlJazeera's work for them. Loose lips and all ...

And, in the intel community, there are three types of propaganda: White, grey and black. Know the difference?

Hmm ... think you (or someone else) posted on that before. We'll see how good my memory is ... has to do with the source, known, unknown, and a sort of false flag respectively ... close?
