While a large majority of Americans and Iraqis are eager to put an end to U.S. military presence in Iraq, it is becoming clearer that Both Democrats and Republicans want to keep the U.S. in military control of the country. What has unfolded before us is another Korean War. The U.S. will justify its presence in Iraq and its control over Iraq's domestic and foreign policy for decades.

The thread can do without the blatant disrespect for the CinC AkH8r. You might want to read the TOS again.

Where, exactly, in the TOS is there anything remotely coving the satire that AkH8r posted?

The image is obvious disrespect..under the read and heed, not sure if that's officially TOS but a mod did post it...

Maybe he meant this:

Board Conduct: Read and Heed

Respect for the Commander In Chief. Argue against administration policies all you want. Present your case, and have your facts lined up. But you’d better be respectful of the position. “President-bashing” of a disrespectful nature is not tolerated, and will quickly earn you the disdain and outright mockery of the membership. This especially includes derogatory nicknames.

Well, I'm sure AkH8r can survive the "disdain and mockery of the membership" because of his posting a satirical image of the CinC, but there is is nothing in the TOS about it.

It's nice to know it's still a free country...and free forum.

If you're uncomfortable with citizens disrespecting the President, you're in the wrong country, son. That's one of the freedoms that set us apart.

The Dixie Chicks were right. To say this administration is the most inept bunch of Gumps to be elected to public office would be an understatement. The political hack appointees by this administration boggles the mind. The Grand Oil Party is in it's death throes thanks single-handedly to the moron in chief George H.W. Bush.

He and his cronies should be impeached from office and then tried for war crimes against humanity.

Whatever you think of the "satirical image" I think that "moron in chief" crosses the line, if the line has any meaning at all. Cool

Well, now, I guess we're just going to have to elect you and the D**khead Chunks to show everyone exactly what being "inept gumps" is all about. Your asinine drivel definetly has the markings of someone who is an expert in the field.

Okay, for the 500th time, this is stupid to be putting this BS (bologna sandwich) up here time after time. Why? Listen, I hope this is the last time. That poll may have an AP signifier on it but it is 100% French (Ipsos, a French-owned poll-taking company), and though France is finally coming around with a decent president, that country's media and poll-taking machine is still 100% LIBERAL, and against our country. That poll isn't worth the used toilet paper it was written on. If it isn't off this post in the next three days, I will remove it.

When was the last time you have been to France? While I agree that their population is liberal by our standards. Their government actually is at the will and power of their people. That much could not be said anytime after we reached the Mississippi. Also, they aren't against "our country". They are against the actions of our politicians. And, it really boggles and confuses them that our government does not fear it's people. That the government does what it does and the people do not revolt.

I don't agree with all of their views. But, I must say that they pretty much got me on that one. I really couldn't argue with them on those points. I just couldn't.

Shouldn't you be sending a e-mail to Military.com expressing your dismay at their choice of reading material. Don't accuse the OP of trying to pull the wool over anyone eyes. Your beef is with Military.com not the OP.

Oh, and by the way. A few pages about that "Liberal Media" that everyone (at least the majority here) says has a lock on what is printed in the press.

and if you don't have pdf.

I am supose to belive that 1000 people polled are a real resentive of the US feelings on the anything let alone the war. I am almost 40 years old and I have never been polled by anyone or any polling company. The people I live aroud and speak with do not share the views of these polls. So for once again the media or polling groups are busy twisting the numbers and misleading the country.

Point of fact I watched the Congress try dressing down a 4 Star General with the help of moveon.org along with Mr. Crocker and as far as I am concerened this was shamefull treatment and display by these elected officals. But I thought that both of these fine men and warriors were far more respectfull and honorable than just about everyone who was question them. The thought came to my mind that they were give aid and comfort to thoses who want nothing more than our death.

Sad day for AMERICA not just because it is 911 but because of the MSM and the Congress.
Enough Sais.
Let us all remember those who gave all on 911 and the TROOPS who are serving and PROTECTING use here at home by keeping these turbin wearing idots busy in the Middle East and else ware around the world. Not to mention the CIA and FBI and many more who are in HARMS WAY for our country.
