hey, i'm an army ROTC cadet, but i was curious about something:

you guys who are marine option CDTs...do you PT with the navy cadets at your schools or do you PT exclusively with the other marine option cadets, and do you take the marine corps PFT or the navy PFT as a marine option NROTC cadet?

first off, we are known as midshipman not cadets because we are a department of the navy. Secondly , it all depends upon the brass of your given unit, my unit has the Marine Options as well as the MECEP's do the warm up run and stretching with the Navy midshipman. After that, depending on the time of the year and the weather, we will usually break off and do our own PT session. Our AMOI (assistant marine option instructor) was a Gunnery Sargent and an All Navy Boxing Champion, so sometimes we would do a boxing workout, other times we would simply run and do the daily seven.
