Am in the market for a multi tool and everybody sells the perfect one. Any body carry a multi tool on a daily basis? What kind would you recommend for daily carry and use?

Leatherman is the only thing that I use. Geber is not suited for heavy use.

Thank you for your opinion. Did you carry it when you were deployed? What about other troops, What did they carry? I am asking this because anything that was junk would be dumped.

I carried both during deployment. I was issued the Geber from my unit, it was all right at the time but problems came up. Blade broke early on, the only available screw driver head were the flat and hex head, wire cutter absolutely in the poor mans English sucks, feel cheap in the hand. Also after a one of my IA counterparts decided to use my remaining saw blade as a pry bar it caused me to rethink wanting another.

Then I bought the Leatherman charge, not cheap by any means about $100-110. But it's built stronger than the Geber, has multiple screw driver heads, needle nose pliers vs. the flat head of the Geber, and a host of others compared to the Geber. Also the Leatherman holds a edge longer.

The standard issue multi-tool is the Geber, not my choice.

Thanks you for the Stryker. I am leaning in that direction.

Anybody else have an opinion?
