Should I really go out and spend hundreds of dollars on a handgun/rifle/shotgun? is all of the obama gun ban rumors true. Does he really have the power to do it? Please only state the truth, and no bias please. i am just as concerned as everyone else but is it really going to happen?

Obama has always been for gun control in any form, his record proves this.

To believe he suddenly supports all the tenets of the 2ndA just because he has been elected President by hordes of ignorant fools, is itself foolishly ignorant.

BTW--- The store that I went to was "Sold Out" of several varieties of ammunition. No .22 Rimfires, and several kinds of Shotgun ammo and .30-06, and .30-30 Win., gone...

The president-elect of this country has stated he will protect the Second amendment. Some other politician said that ten or twelve years ago. But he didn't say how he would protect it and how it would be after he did protect it, in his own way and in his own interepation of it. In other words what Obama said, didn't mean a damn thing. They were just empty words to placate at the time.
Obama gets his political muscle from the Daly Democratic Chicago Political Machine. It been called the modern TAmmany Hall of politics. For those of you who don't know about Tammany Hall it was a very power political machine of the New York State and City Democratic Party in the 19th century. A man called Senator "Boss Tweed was its head.
The Chicago version of this goes back to before Prohibition. The present mayor of Chicago and his father before him have long been anti-gun fanatics. This is the base of Barack Obama's power from the Democrats.
I'd find a secure place, tell one one, not even your spouses and when the clamp down comes, do as the Filpinos did, bury your weapons and ammo.
Obama said at a rally, he wouldn't take our weapons, no, he'll just make it impossible to buy more or any more ammo, yet will protect the Second Amendment,ie, the right to keep and bear arms. Hmmmm God help us all. I know I DIDN"T vote for him! I guess we'll have to get that NRA bumper sticker back out and change the wording from MR. Clinton to read Mr. Obama. you know "From my Cold Dead Fingers........" QED

Hey people visited one of my favorite gun shops today. And guess what........No 45 caliber ammo what so ever. Sold out until next week. Also three boxes of 9MM left, then that will be sold out. I watched two gents buy a thousand rounds, each, of 7.62x39. Hmmm......people are taking this seriously.
I went to large Rural type and Outdoor store. NO 22 ammunition of any kind! Sold out! I looked around the store for some birthday presents for my grandkids and came back to that area 20 minutes later. Two clerks unloading two pallets of 22 ammo and 12 and 20 gauge shotgun shells. One of the assistant managers told me that that was the second time they had filled the display, this week!
Panic stations, boy I don't know.....but some people are taking it that way.

America is ****ed.

Its already started people. The Mayor of Seattle is trying to get Ordinances through like San Francisco and Washington, DC. No one can own or keep a handgun in the city limits. He's already been warned by the State Attorney General that he is acting in defiance of the state laws. It isn't stopping him. There is a Seattle city website to lodge public complaints against this Hitler want to be. Find it and let your opinon known. I did and called him a damn traitor!
