Nahhhh, It's on the shelf, next to the Schlitz malt liquor 40's Smile

If you mean the Model P, Colt's custom shop still makes them, as does a number of Italian clone makers. Taurus offers their version now. Don't forget Freedom Arms fabulous rendition. Ruger makes their Vaquero, and while it's no Model P, it is very popular with SASS members for its ability to take a lot more punishment than an original Colt.

If you mean .45 Colt ammo (NOT "long" Colt...never was a "short" Colt), it is loaded commercially by well over a dozen major and custom ammunition plants.

So, no. The .45 Colt is very much alive and well, and likely more popular than ever.

Yeppers, .45 Colt and .45 ACP, the standard which all others are measured by...

One of my favorites (I have, well more than one item chambered for .45 Colt and .45 Auto), is my latest acquired item. A Colt New Service made in 1913 and chamber for; you guessed it. .45 Colt.

Boy it you ever decided to have the need to pistol whip someone, this pistola would be the one to do it with... Very high sharp curved back front sight. I cal it my "Mr. Harrigan Pistol"
